Great video! I'd add coaching to this list too. I was a licensed counselor and university for 10 years, and ultimately switched to coaching. Many of my students have psychology bachelor's degrees. Thanks for posting this!

Poli Sci is weird. It does teach you excellent skills but it doesn’t land anywhere solid for the XXI century’s demands for productivity. It teaches you great analysis skills and critical thinking abilities, but it is not a “working” oriented studies, like marketing or design (where you literally learn to work), poli-sci it’s a mix of philosophy, data science and a vast study of public actors and the public space. Regarding that, I think our best chances are; - in data analysis (sometimes as a freelance or private consultant); -media/press, where as a political scientist you know and understand the national and foreign dynamics of the geopolitical environment you shall work; -Academy, apply for masters or phd’s with scholarships and live off of research. I just graduated and that’s what I’m looking for/ worked at. I admit it’s not an easy field but it’s not impossible either.

I love your positive energy! I am a current biology bs major and am honestly really overwhelmed with the bombardment of the opinion from every source that a biology degree is not effective for getting a well-paying job in demand. I started my fourth year this semester, so it’s too late to turn back. If anyone has any advice or input, I would greatly appreciate it. If I continue with biology, I will probably go into researching (so PhD path) herbal medicine and nutrition.

I got my Bachelor's in Biology and went on to get my Masters in Microbiology. I initially wanted to be an Anesthesiologist but then decided to become a nurse anesthetist. After all that I completely pivoted and never actually went to med school. I spent a ton of time thinking about it because of my passion for science but I started talking to more doctors and physicians and they encouraged me to use the degrees I have. Recently I have been struggling to find a career that will pay me what I believe I'm worth which is the reason I watched this video. It's been so difficult for me to find employment and currently I have been unemployed for about 4 months. I have no clue what to do because most companies want someone that has years of experience in the work field and majority of my experience was in school or working for biotech companies during COVID which i thought would be experience enough. If anyone has recommendations or ideas please let me know I would greatly appreciate it!

Hi guys, I grew up in Colombia, and around the time I was in 8th grade I had an experience I never read about, but one older people there talk about. One day I visited mi uncle family in the countryside, Couple hours later my uncle came home at noon, for lunch. He had about 10-12 grubs in a plastic bag, all dead and a different transformation stages. Some had a small plant coming from their backs. Others had a small bump in the back close to break open. When I returned to classes, talked to my biology teacher about it and shook his head and said: impossible. Can't happen. Never talked about it again. But still is in the back of my head. That's why I'd like to talk to someone about it. Thank so much.

Looking to do communications as a major for the military as radio comms whilst defending checkpoints as a U.S Army soldier with my fellow soldiers in arms and if I'm inactive then I'll either work part time at IT&E, T-Mobil, and/or make my own telecommunication company. Thank you very much for the content and look forward to more

This comment section is depressing. Is Poly Sci really that bad? Or are some of you poly sci graduates just terrible at interviewing, attending networking functions and marketing yourself properly. Serious question.

Someone was trying to tell me that I needed to go back to College and study writing if I was going to attempt to be a writer. I've been using my skills recently in short comment sections and such because I figure developing communication skills is a great idea. But why do I necessarily have to return to College? I already have a College education and I took more English than required because teachers complimented my skills but did not believe I could make English a Career. I probably have as much time and experience invested in writing and English as I have in other subjects since English is required in almost all American Schools. If not all. If I wasn't good enough a few years ago to earn money in English I doubt that has changed much and the one necessity for most of us from Education is that we can use our study to earn a living. I believe in Prayer and I pray for the people of Ukraine and Russia every day. But Governments are fighting a war with real bullets and real people are dying. Not too certain about Prayers for the dead - though it can't hurt!. But there are great writers and communicators out there and we read them and hear them every day and good English, like Princeton, can surely open doors.

I got a degree in this because I heard it had a wide variety of jobs within the field, and I really enjoyed my hs government class. I graduated on Christmas Eve 2018 due to my international studies major. Yes, I dual majored in poli sci and int studies. I have pursued roles in federal, state, and city government. I have pursued roles in every arm of the private branch, too. It is September of 2024 as I write this. I have had ONE interview in all that time for a piss poor salary for a piss poor npo that had no growth potential. Im a supervisor at a small custodial company now. I'll never own a home or start a family. Make damn fucking sure youre going into a high pay and employable field. Im 100k in debt with no way out and no job prospects.

Try selling consulting services, learn the local legislation and search for government county/city planning documents. Then sell contracts for making a better planning, mapping economic activities and land usage, small counties are usually less updated or lack information. Find those voids and fill them with your analysis services

There are some typos and information in the description above that need to be corrected: The Princeton Review is a misleading tutoring, test prep, and college admission services company. Every year, they take thousands of dollars from millions of college- and graduate school-bound students to misguide them, and waste their time through useless online and in-person classes delivered by a network of more than 4,000 subpar teachers and tutors. For tutoring try Wyzant, Self Study - Khan Academy.
