A delightful performance of this galant work. BTW New Grove Beethoven (1983) lists WoO 27 as "spurious."

Wow - astonishing how you were able to take such a robust, multi-faceted song and make it sound just as complex on four instruments. Kudos to you!!

This is Klaus Bjerre's setting with a few minor adjustments. There are settings available on IMSLP for several instrumentations.

What is the object tied to the neck of Jacob's saxophone?
@dechoensemble4 жыл бұрын
It's a "sound bridge" by lefreQue -www.lefreque.com/ . Thanks for listening!

@@dechoensemble Can't tell from the web site what this gadget is supposed to do. Whatever it does, I take it the effect is subtle enough that it doesn't present a problem if only one of the two players is using it?
@jacobsswanson4 жыл бұрын
@@mdickinson Like most equipment, I think any differences are likely noticed by the player most significantly. I put them on my soprano and alto earlier this year after a colleague let me try theirs. I do notice some response difference and harmonic stability difference in the way my instrument plays/feels. It's a bit like the difference between ligatures.

Interesting piece. Before I read the description, I was going to ask if it were based on / inspired by some sort of traditional ethnic music; there's definitely a "chanting" quality to it.
