So good. Do each of the Rolz osc circuits use any PLLs well as the multivibrators to help lock into cycles, and interect between each section? I would love to see this thing used at audio rates, maybe combined with some sustained chaos, as a modulation source. 🤤
@d42kn3552 ай бұрын
No PLL here - the rolz themselves here are similar to the LabRolz found in Plumbutter - They are not biased to run audio rate unfortunately - theyre more meant as a pulse driver - and then you can get really erratic pulses by patching the current control nodes together - gets real spastic and twitchy. Really great for pinging filters for fun bubbles and sputters!

Holy cripes, a ChoreBoy patching environment is exactly the kind of nutty goodness my doctor prescribed.

Martin just sold out of the first 25 the other day - best to keep this here page up in a Tab. The current run, there are 25 units left when he finishes assembled and posts them for sale. Usually takes him a few weeks to restock - the newest version is an all gold panel. www.1010.co.uk/org/ERD.html

I finally finished my dubernator PCB I got from you on reverb... are the differential voltage inputs safe for rollz outputs or other outputs from a rollz 5?

Yeah! No fears on those :) theyre protected - quick tip - duber loves rolz of all kinds!

Is this just CV in to recreate the scroll of the sidrassi?
@d42kn3555 ай бұрын
Yeah! that's the idea. ^_^ There is an LFO output - an (ON)-off-ON switch for momentary or latching LFO operation - and a switch to change the speed of the LFO - There is also a CV (pulse) input on the back end side of the cap to quickly discharge the held voltage with CV - then you can latch the LFO into the on position and fight the cap charging and discharging with CV! (I did not show that in this vid tho)

Oh cool. Can you tell us more about the modulrs seen here? ... looks like you have a whole new bunch of your own creations in there?!
@d42kn3556 ай бұрын
Hmmm, not sure which you mean ^_^ The 291 and 295, all I did was the panels for em, Aaron Lanterman did the recreations of the Buchla circuit. Next to those are 3 BBO's (Bounds, Bounce, Oscillator) which is my clone of IFM Denum, which I have open source on Github! Next to that is Setonix/Tidbit Audio's Solar Gravity VCA (the one that is lit up orange) Next to that is a Slew Limiter that Tectonia (Ricardo Verschut) made for one of his workshops, and I convinced him to sell and ship me one since it looked like IFM panels) Next to that is an old DIY MTM Microphonie On the top row to the right of the Denum is a Blue Lantern Grains (Clouds Clone) with an IFM style panel - an online friend did this one. and then finally a Duber, with a custom panel next to it that brings the high pass, and low pass, mido, power, and ground, out to a ribbon cable for a stuber duber controller I made that gives my euro duber the binary division outputs that the Stuber has. ^_^ Hope that answers it all!
