Many people feel the same way! Unforturely people can be disappointing at time. They seems to try to be nicer in retirement, but at the end of the day, people are people. Thanks for commenting!

The best solution to have friends in retirement is to keep working. Many people find that their real family and friends are in their workplace.

It's amazing to me the people taking pride in having no friends in retirement. They say they don't like people and enjoy the solitude. The people at work turned out not to be friends at all. They don't want the drama, the gossip, the egos, the betrayals, etc. How about you?

My big take-aways from this experience is not letting enthusiasm / good intentions lead you to injury, and the importance of having a set time to exercise so excuses like "too much to do today", or "not today, I'll feel more like it tomorrow" are not able to impact your program. (My answer to these excuses is: I don't have to do it the best ever, I just have to do it.)

You nailed it! A personal trainer that mixes up the routine from time to time, offers tips to improve your form, and keeps things moving so that you are not distracted has been worth it, IMHO.

What is you favorite activity in retirement? Do you partipate in any competitive activities, if so, what?
@FranksCleanJokes11 күн бұрын
Enjoyed the video! I think that some people are just naturally more competitive than others! Why that, is or where that comes from, I don't know. My parents were not competitive. So, where does that competitive drive come from? Frank
@RobertsActiveRetirement10 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching! True, but I think some people who were competitive in their younger years, believe you shouldn't be competitive in the older years. They look down on that, at least in my experience. Some people like to do the least possible. That is fine, each person to his own, but being active bring a more meaningful and healthy life, IMO.
