Dang man we fish alot of the same waters. The way i see it is if you need to put in alot of work to put in then the bite will likely be good. If you ever want to link up and fish some spots let me know, i got 3 kayaks you can choose from.

@@clintonbruning I bring my paddleboard and kayak when it’s not generating . Fish 1 hour before sunrise till 8:30- 9 am then they move to deeper water . Fish the pylons when you first get there , retrieve fast or you will get stuck as it’s shallow and rocky . Was using 6th sense line through with chartreuse or minnow color paddle tail

Looks like a fun trip with some nice catches including a nice warmouths. Always enjoy watching you catching them and Always love a topwater bite. Have had luck with the 6th sense version of the jedi worm. Cant wait till this weekend and really give the new spots that i scouted last weekend out and hopefully get on to some smallmouth. @@clintonbruning the 6th Sense one is the Boosa ned, I think they are just a little bigger then the Jedi worm as they are a 3.3" bait. And the warmouth you caught were still nice sized even if they weren't as big as the one you got in the other video.

I also prefer a short rod when using spook type baits. I also noticed that the baits with a slanted face give a really sweet ,wider glide compared to the zarra puppy

Man you are having too much fun down there in Texas! Fun to watch you get those top water bites. I have been getting some top water as well on a Spook Jr. on my Aldabaran and Dobyns 700c with 20lb. Power Pro braid. So far I have got fish up the 3 1/2 lbs. and missed some really big ones on the jump. My next venture is to rig a fluke because allot of these bass won't hit the Spook on the boil so I'm going to try sub surface on them. Keep up the good work Clinton!!

Nice mult species day with that surprise Small Mouth love catchng Small mouth but as far as I know there are only a couple places around here that are supposed to have them and 2 of thos spots I just found out about and going to try them this weekend. Good to see the grass coming back there will definitely help the fishing. Keep up the great videos and good luck out there.

@@sewu6036 I’ve been using sunline FC sniper either 6 or 7 lb fluorocarbon most of the summer and have liked it. You’re from Germany?! I’m pretty sure that’s where most of my ancestors are from. What fish do you catch there?

@@clintonbruning We have perch, zander and pike here. That I hunt for. Most of the time I use Bfs Rods. I got the Daiwa Gekkabijin. your basses is awesome. The fishing you do with the SUP is simply brilliant.

It's been slow fishing up here in Upstate NY also. I mainly fish ponds and small lakes. Water temps in the upper 70's. Two questions for ya. What size buzz bait are you throwing, what color and color trailer? Also, I've been looking at the Ark bfs reel. It looks a lot like the Dark Wolf that I have. I know you have both. Which one do you favor and why? Thanks!

@@yak_fishin_585 the ark will outcast all my reels by a long shot. The drag on the dark work is a bit more firm than the gravity, but both are drags are good. The components are a lot better on the ark i think. But i mean I love my dark wolfs they have been so realiable and durable for me. If you don’t have a gravity yet get one and see for yourself it’s insanely good out of the box just adjust the internal brakes to level 2. And the Buzzbait is 1/8th oz. It’s been the topwater bait of the summer so far for me! Thanks for watching man.

@@clintonbruning that happens sometimes. I went exploring Saturday and found a place with multiple ponds and most are fairly clear, including 2 that are said to have some small mouth bass. Didn't have time to look at all them as I spent some time fishing and was able to get t largemouth but only fished for about half an hour total. All the ones I looked at looked promising though.

Close, it's actually the 6' light action. 2 piece rod. I think its rated 2-8 lb line and 2-10 gram lures, but don't quote me on that, but I really like It the more I throw It, it's really good for throwing small walking baits too, Im editing a clip of a bunch of topwater eats I got on It recently as we speak! I have the 6'6'' L version which I found makes a good finesse jig rod too!

@@FishingWithDr3w It actually has quite a bit of backbone to It for being a short light power rod! Its definitely more of a fast action rod! I'm a little upset amazon surcharged them recently though, they used to be 35 bucks when I bought mine now they want 54 or something like that.
