Wanted to show the mid-fight cutscene and the special ending. I think you need Cloud Step for it to activate, but I could be wrong. I died on this fight even on NG+, was surprised.

Wanted to post this again as I missed showing you guys a bit of the opening on my first try. I also wanted to test the Plantain Fan on his gold form but it didn't crumble it like it does the final frog's stone armor in Ch 6. I also bypassed killing those people while as the Macaque Chief/Umbral Abyss, and I heard some new dialog while using Ring of Fire.

This is an alternate way to get the Ashen Slumber transformation; either you can talk to the Rat Traitors in ch 2 before completing 3rd Rat Prince's sidequest with his captains (enabling you to get it without a boss fight), or you can do it after and get the boss like I did here

Even without the context of 0, you can tell volumes about Majima through his body language in the cutscene. He appears crazy and threatening on the surface, but the details tell you a different story, and it really gives credit to the Mad Dog being at least partially an act.

This is probably the last Wukong vid I upload, before the DLC comes out. Looks like Wukong used death and the return to mortality to rid himself of Guanyin's headband; freedom and not bowing to anyone was that important to him. Wonder if this means Tathagata, Guanyin, the Peng-Roc and/or the Jade Emperor are bosses in the DLC. I also wanted to use armor I like in this rematch; too many of the armors in this game are not exactly to my liking. Wukong's headdress looks a bit too goofy for me

One of the best bosses ever made imo, that was sick. Erlang himself is probably the hardest fight in the game, above Yellow Loong. Still not sure how the DO transformed into Stone Monkey there; I guess his 5 relics combined with the Mind that Erlang was housing?

Great game and a 2024 GotY candidate. Thoroughly enjoyed the combat, bosses and music. Only major complaint is that story isn't very easily understandable, and I think this game would've benefitted from a glossary or something, rather than me having to go to KZbin to understand the lore. They could also patch in bigger fonts for the subtitles. This is also one of the pretties games I've played, along with Uncharted 4, the Norse God of Wars and DMC 5

Sick boss fight. Wasn't expecting that rock music, was raw af. Also the ending cutscene and overall locale is just very beautiful....but damn does this storytelling need to be clearer and tighter lol.

I completely fucked this boss fight up. I was low on fumes mentally, but I notice it now: you can have him hit the ice door and you can go through there before going to another arena, to fight him in his ice form. There is a 3rd arena after that too. Will make sure to do this on my NG+ run

Yeah, I think so. The story is not really character-driven like Tsushima, so its not exactly fair to compare....but it is harder to follow, so thats one con about this game to me. But I think the main reason Wukong is better to me is because of the bosses and combat; enemies don't feel like sponges, they're more unique, the combat itself is very diverse, and it doesn't always come across as a chore to defeat enemies (like it did at some random camps in Tsushima). Tsushima is still a great game though; I was able to appreciate it more after watching Japanese movies like Seppuku (also called Harakiri in the West). I initially thought the whole honor/dishonor theme was a stereotypical, generic, whitewashed Hollywood thing, but its very much authentic (as Seppuku and other movies show).

The slowed dodging is annoying, not sure if this is good game design or not lol. Boss fight is still one of the better ones in the game so far imo. Also this game desperately needs background and Wikipedia articles on the story and characters; the dialog, story flow and anecdotes are confusing to piece together and follow Also, funny I called Black Bear Guai "Ganon", when Ganon was actually based on this guy here. He certainly evokes Ganon-esque vibes when he transforms into the boar forme

I finally beat him! Might be my fav boss so far with Yin Tiger; probably hardest boss for me so far (over Yellowbrow too), as it took me 3 hours to do this (with a mini-break in between). There started to be performance issues the more I played, so I took a break and let the TV/PS5 rest for a bit

I don't get it, why don't you charge up your heavy attack before attacking. you can run straight at him with the heavy attack and you'll get eary damage and can knock him.

I'm still getting used to the combat, the heavy attack mechanic just didn't make sense to me at the time. Only today did I actually realize the difference between using a Heavy in a combo, and a Heavy by itself lol. Also, I don't think I have the skill to charge a Heavy while Sprinting yet. Third, just feels kind of cheap lol, I'd rather just git gud and dodge

Might be my favorite boss so far. The appearance, the personality, him just sitting on the rock and fishing, etc. Not the most difficult though; it took me a while but I felt like I was dodging most of his attacks well, just a timing on a few proved costly. Toughest still is between Wandering Wight, Tiger Vanguard, Black Loong and Mad Tiger for me at the moment. If I had to narrow it down, I'd pick Black Loong or Mad Tiger at the moment.

20+ years of the Gorosei being mysterious, us fans waiting to see what they can do, Oda saying "I haven't shown what they're capable of yet"...and Saturn dies like that, without doing ANYTHING??? His Gyuki/Yokai form was literally 30 ch ago! How are people just accepting this? Could you imagine if he had done this with V. Nus or one of the other popular Elders? This is why I always say the villains in One Piece just fall somewhat short nowadayas. You have to spotlight these guys and give them dubs and wins against competitive people, BEFORE they lose. If the idea is that these well anticipated characters are highlighted in just a SINGLE arc before they're defeated (and that too with very poor performances in combat), then Oda just really hasn't delivered.
