Thank you so much for the narrative (both mistakes and successes). It makes me feel like I am discussing the project with you and it makes me more confident that I could do this too! Have you made a hardwood one yet? Just curious because that much work and artistry should be heirloom-ed. My humble opinion of course. But I thought it was just brilliant!

Great lesson! I have one question for you. I have designed the thumb grip, but for some reason it is too high on the sketch. Is there a way to move down all of that work into the correct position? Thank you!

I don't have a shop so I don't have scraps lying around - but by golly I know where to get hold of UNLIMITED scraps. Don't have a bandsaw either. But recently I made my first spoon without ANY of the socially accepted carving tools except my SAK. Now I have a deep desire to make my own knife and fork. And bowl. And mug. By the way, my spoon is the most beautiful spoon in the whole history of wooden spoons.

Would you consider selling one? I do not have the wood working tools needed to craft it.
@nathitappan Жыл бұрын
Just taking the time to say I appreciate the work you put into this series. I was curious about fusion for woodworking after having toyed with Sketchup and all other tutorials are way too slow in pace with not nearly as much information as you give here. Thank you for putting these out! Also subscribing in the hopes to see more of your work! Maybe more details on cut lists, on a series on modeling different joinery? Cheers!

THANKS DOUG! I have been looking for a designing solution for my Mac for a long time and at 5:15 in this video, paused and went to get Fusion 360 (Personal). SO EXCITED! I haven't been in my shop for a bit and want to ramp back up. I was an AutoCad (2D) user for many years and while this will be a lot different, I'm ready for learning new stuff. I'll probably walk through this 4 part series to get my feet all sorts of wet. Thanks again - this free/powerful CAD find and your channel were gifts!

I’m pretty sure it was 120, but it’s been a long time since I filmed this! I normally have 80 or 120 on the belt sander.
