i really appreciate that he put this video out. It would have been great to see him putting it back together. because if you work on cars you know that sometimes taking things apart are a lot easier then putting them back together. so it would have been nice to see if he had any issues putting it back together, and if so, what he did when and/if he ran into any issues to complete the installment.

get your camshaft sprocket bolts replaced. There is a recall. I was having similar issue and BMW fixed it.

The inner shafts move when shake them. To make sure they are working and not clogged, shake them.

Dude thank you a lot !!! I also removed that sensor(module) , disassembled it and i found nothing wrong with its board, then i rewatched your video and thought i’d give it a try and boom that line had corrosion in 2 places and was torn, replaced wire and boom it works ! check engine light gone even without deleting faults. Again, Thanks a lot !

That's a known problem, usually is the head unit faulty, try to hard reset the unit or you need a proper diagnose

Battery just starts the car? Are you kidding me? Start the car and then remove your battery and that’ll prove your weird theory incorrect. Haha🤨 your engine is supported by multiple electronic systems that will not run without your battery. If you have an old battery the alternator cannot charge it no matter how much you drive it and therefore not enough power can go through multiple systems. Please sit this one out about your battery theory. Most of your vehicle is electrical not mechanical. Your spark plugs in combination with power from the battery to the starter and your fuel injection system all use electrical current to start the vehicle. Dumb dumb the battery powers the vehicle while you are using !!!!!!

Any ideas? When i start engine, idle so rough, and engine just dying. When i push accelerate for 4-5s everything is ok. Vanos changed, chain with everything changed too... Error code shows problem with vanos

If the car has an idle air control.valve I would check that. But I’ve seen those stick open so you would notice on a car that was already warmed up and not from a completely cold start. Clean the throttle body and the mass air flow sensor.

Great job I got a 2014x1. It goes into park all lights come on and then Kind of. Go to sleep mode. No lights Very wird . Check engine also it says refer to vehicle manual . .. do you have any idea? Thanks 🙏

ok, so you said it was tight and tricky to remove the filters. you don't show what tools you used, you don't show how you cleaned (you replaced them) and you didn't show the process of removing/installing. not helpful. thanks for sharing what you have though.

Great VIDEO!! Hi I have a 2013 BMW X5 35I WITH A 3.0(n55 engine) LITRE TURBO. When i purchased it use, it was not any issues, or no check lights on in the instrument panel. when it got cold temperature -5 degrees and colder, it would surge up and down for a few seconds from 600---1300 rpm when i start it in cold temperatures only. but when it was warm weather it idled cold is just fine and no codes.ALSO, in cold weather i have to let it warm up well. if i try to drive the vehicle away after a few minutes of starting the, service engine light will appear in my dash ,when i check the codes::: engine misfiring, number 1 cylinder misfiring. number 4 misfiring and number 3 number 2 ,etc. if I Let it warm for 10 minutes,its drives fine. The Question i s::::Does my N55 engine have these "non return valves also? ty for your input.

These are called VANOS solenoids, not whatever tf he called them. Your issue is something else, VANOS solenoids don't cause idle surges, only a rough idle

@@alextheonewarrior ty for you input Alex, but i think my vanos in my n55 2013 3.0 litre turbo, vanos has a electrical connector plugin,which is at the front .... so i dont thinks it is his vanos., he is showing that there are 2 screens that is clogged , which may be inside or close to the vanos, his N52 ENGINE "screens" do not have any electrical connector, so.... i dont think its vanos.... input please... tks sir

@@battlehrfred They're Vanos Check Valves they filter the oil for the vanos and help the oil flow to the vanos. your issue with surging RPM can be related to Spark Plugs, ignition coils, fuel injectors, or Vanos. I had a issue with my Vanos and my RPM did shoot up and down but I got Vanos codes not misfires. id try changing your spark plugs first, then changing ignition coils. If you can id clean your Vanos and clean/replace your Vanos Check Valves (shown in the video) since im pretty sure the N55 has them but id check on your motor just incase because I can be wrong. the very last thing id do is changing your fuel injectors since they are expensive but id put fuel injection cleaner in your car. someone could've used 87 or 89 octane gas instead of 91 or 93 octane.

The reason I smelled fuel (petrol/gas) was because of loose old seal on TOP of fuel tank. Check under car for drips from engine & fuel lines. Under the hood (bonnet) check for leak at each fuel injector base. Hope helps

hello i dont recommend leaving the parksensor display on the dash. it will MELT in the summer. Had it happen to me :)

@@warpdrive_m maybe above the mirror, or down somewhere. U will see. I had a very similar if not exact same one and during the summer the display inside went bad, presumably melted something.

How did u fix the alarm my key fob does not work either.The red blinking light for Alarm does not flash any more.I can start the car no problem.Central locking locks all the doors automatically when I start driving.But I can only use blade key to open doors.Trunk can be opened by button inside dash and with blade key.I don't have comfort access mode.No battery just sealed.I went to dealer spend $300 new key never worked they also gave me a comfort access key.I dunno I got refund but no alarm car starts fine.Also the mirror use to have blinking red light thats gone too.Be safe in Ukraine any input would be appreciated Andres USA
