A good way to get rid of that is probably to air whatever you use it in. E.g leaving it outside or hanging up somewhere after it's dried. You could also try spraying some watered-down essential oils after doing this, which can give it a more pleasant smell.

Hi, if i would try these natural colors for painting, how much it would be efficient?)
@shivaniteki75 Жыл бұрын
On 350gsm paper and canvas it works well, though it becomes a little dull on paper. You need the color to be more concentrated so try putting a little less water and more of the pigment inducing resource.

Prefix is nothing but add 3 tablespoons Salt to 5 lts boiling water and soak your cloth in it for 1 hour before dyeing. Salt to be used for cotton, linen, rayon. Vinegar for synthetic fibres like silk, crepe, satin. Remember, polysilk or polyster fabric will not be dyeable whatever you use.

Hi, First time in your channel here......just looking for some research material on NATURAL DYES AND PIGMENTS......landed on your video by algorithms. One question here regarding the blue dye/pigment.........blue is the most rarely occurring colour in nature and I was looking for some natural source to it. I initially experimented with 'washing blue' like ROBIN GLOW and UJAALAA. But as you know, they are not natural. I am totally unaware of this *blue cabbage* you have shown, nor do i know where to source it from. Just wanted to ask.....can we use the VAGINA FLOWER/CLITORIS FLOWER in its place as a substitute???(the scientific name is _clitoris turnatea_ , I believe). It is also known as APARAJITAA in some Indian languages. I have experimented it very similar to the method you have shown here. Took 10-15 VAGINA flowers in almost a cup of water and slow boiled for about 8 minutes. The resulting solution was very promising at first, being so deep blue in colour that it almost appeared as black in the dark. I diluted it with water about four times to obtain a lighter shade of blue. But was not good enough later on, as the colour didn't stuck very well with fabric. It easily removed off after some three or four washes. Is there an alternative method to it??? If so, plz share(for which I shall be highly obliged to uou) How to make the pigment more stronger and readily acceptable to the fabric, enabling a greater bond? I made yellow pigment from *turmeric* . Red/orange from *palaash* / butea monosperma, black from coal tar....all of them were strong pigments except for the blue one....I am kind of stuck there Plz help....THANK YOU

I am sooo sorry I saw your message very very late. Blue pigment, I can tell you won't last very long, but if you get your hands on purple cabbage, which is available in online grocery stores, do give it a try. BUTTERFLY pea flowers *aparajita* are good for tea. Try without diluting. I have painted on 350gsm paper and it gives a watercolor effect, but I have not tried on cloth or canvas yet.

How it will apply on fabric..? Just boil it..?
@shivaniteki75 Жыл бұрын
Yes, add your pre treated fabric into dye and boil it for 10 mins. Then leave it in dye for about an hour or 2 to cool. Then store it in an zip lock bag to retain moisture for 24 hours. Later Dry in shade.

How long is the wire?
@shivaniteki752 жыл бұрын
Here I have taken random length for each wire. For an approximate start you can take upto 20cm per piece. Make sure to keep all wite lengths random or uneven for a natural tree look.

If your base is rounded then wrap it around with wires after adding glue. I have attached mine to marble base, or a pebble or even a glass paper weight and they stay fine.

@shivaniteki752 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Rashmi. Here I have used random pieces of wire, but if you want to go by measurements, you can go for 15 cm length of wire, and for branches you may use 20 or 25 cm wire. the no. of wire pieces I used are about 80 pieces. It resulted in a tree of height 10 cms without the base. If you want to make a bigger tree, go for more than 100 pieces with length being 30 cm. Also, try to get a thin wire so that joining will be easy. You may use pre-cut wire pieces if they are available in your craft store. Grateful to know that you love my videos. Keep watching.
