Can you tell me what the part numbers are for your setup? Get ready to buy the mount from you.

Just curious- what do you base your comparison on? You do not show any data to support your opinions. Also there are other well known brands you do not mention.

Whats a packout mount used for? Sorry I have never seen this before and was curious
@JBBatv8 ай бұрын
It allows you to use the Milwaukee Packout stackable tool box system for storage. The boxes just snap in and out.

Why not clean up before you start so you can see what’s wrong when you’re taking it apart
@JBBatv10 ай бұрын
Ya, that would've helped. Don't really like working with the whole work area wet though. Everything got cleaned up individually later.

Was a pretty easy job. I had to remove my battery to get to top center nut mine was not welded (when reassembling so make sure the breather gets hooked up correctly). Ty for this video was gratefully appreciated. I don't like wheel spacers so looking to make a stopper, so I don't break my super atv ball joints.

Looks like more work to get to the parking brake cable then it is to replace it! Great Job! I don’t look forward to replacing this. How many years, hours, or miles do you have on your Teryx? Do you feel that is about the average lifespan? Thanks again.
@JBBatv Жыл бұрын
That machine is a 2012 so over the years the adjuster got corroded and seized. It actually snapped off while trying to adjust the cable. They can sometimes need adjustment in the first year then are usually good for a while after that. Wouldn't be a bad idea to spray the adjuster with some lubricant once in a while.

@@JBBatv Thank you I just got mine in May or June (I’m old and now can’t remember things). I’ll check it soon & shoot it with some graphite or silicone. Again, thank you.

What a great job Buddy! That was so fast. Good to know that parts are readily available if (& when) needed. I like the frame straightener idea too. Was the wheel damaged at all? And did you replace both front tires. I think you had mentioned that you had put 10’ wide (28’s) tires all the way around. Was that 2’ spacers all around too?
@matthewbarbosa7728 Жыл бұрын
The wheel was completely destroyed. I only replaced the one tire, the drivers side tire was nearly new due to a sidewall puncture earlier this year. I didn't get good footage of mounting the tire. 27x9 tires in the front. We have bigger plans hopefully in the near future just trying to get it rolling again for now. 1.5" wheel spacers all the way around.

@@matthewbarbosa7728 Awesome! Thank you Matt. Having a little extra clearance will help next time I run out to “Moon Rocks”. But I’ll have to wait for Summer (24). I need a couple of things on the Quad.

So, recognizing that this is part one of the adventure of suspension repair of an otherwise regular trail adventure. What are the lessons learned on what caused this. All I saw was the “Puddle” (Waterhole). I four wheeled in my younger days with a 1979 Dodge W150. She was indestructible. Lord knows I wish I still had her. My oldest daughter drove her to high school. But like all things, you can’t let any story end without a villain. The Sierra Club along with the Commies pushed SMOG to the point where it was impossible to keep her financially viable for a middle class family. These side by sides Although Tough, are made with less durable products & designs. Not wanting to drop 100k into a ride, what are you learning? I’m excited to see how you fix this. And to see you get her back out there on the adventures. A follow up on the brakes parts would be great (or just directions on the video that this was featured in). Thank you. Respectfully, Scott

Hi Scott, next time we will have to scout the water holes better before we head into them. There was a massive rock under the water that we crashed into. This was on an unmaintained, off trail but legal open riding area. Where we ride, the trails are maintained by local clubs and it's safe to assume there aren't obstructions of this size under the water or if there is, there would be clear signage. This was not part of the maintained trails. After the fact, we did find a small sign on the ground that had fallen over. As for the brakes, I rebuilt the caliper with some used parts I had and threw another set of pads in. Maybe I'll do another video about servicing the brakes. Check out our channel for part 2 of this video where I put the machine back together. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJjJhJWAj5uemcksi=YqDQ-tHrMzS6mV4_

@@JBBatv I can’t wait for the next video! Just got a 23 Teryx myself last may. Love it. I need to install a alternative fuse block. Heard tale of one at “Hester’s” they are currently out. I went shooting with my son in law yesterday. We came back a little late. I needed the lights coming back down the trails. But at my age in order to utilize all the fun riding I have right here in my back yard, I’m going to “have to” plan a little for the “Unforeseen” . I might even get a camera beside the Go Pro that I won (and have never used). This all is exciting for me, since this will probably be my “Last Hurrah “ (old age is cruel). And tough when you are not smart enough that you are old and can’t do what you did 20, & 30 years ago. So, I’m looking forward to that brake video too. Since I’m only here by the Grace of God and the brakes on my Kawasaki 650i. Or we’ll I’m sure you get it. Respectfully, Scott

Do you have to 'squeeze the extra oil out' before installing the pre-oiled sponge only product?
@matthewbarbosa7728 Жыл бұрын
You don't want it saturated to the point that it's dripping oil in your air box but do not ring it out. You don't want to stretch it out of shape. You're better off adding oil a little bit at a time and gently squeezing it to spread it out evenly.
@tomnew4971 Жыл бұрын
