Really upset with my body, that it wouldn't allow me to be in Jesus's house this morning. Heard a lot of good things about a lot of great people. All, Sunday church services are special. How could they not be, when the word of God rolls from the Preacher's lips. Baptism Sundays...I have to say, are the most awesome! AMEN ♥️ 6/23/24 7:30 pm

We can trust that God is in control of everything. He equips us to do what He has called us to do. He works around our missteps, and the free will choices we have. The Holy Spirit guides and continuously guides us on God's path. It's truly beautiful. And His protection from those not walking on the path is also remarkable. I'm always in AWE by how truly awesome God is. There aren't really any words to adequately articulate this!!! It can be summed up by God is Sovereign. God is control. God loves us and God's plan is for all people to be reconciled back to Him through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! 🙌🏻✝️🙌🏻

Yes. God is ALWAYS working and everything is connected. God transcends time. He knows what we'll do and what other people will do years ahead of it happening, yet somehow He intercedes for things to work together for His purpose, and for His GLORY. As followers of Jesus Christ, we know all things work together for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. 🙌🏻✝️🙌🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

HALLELUJAH for the Holy Spirit who dwells within us and will intercede on our behalf. God will hear our prayers (even if they're only cries or groans) because the Holy Spirit knows what we mean and will make sure God hears. God knows because God IS the Holy Spirit and by golly, because God dwells within us, we too will understand the truth as God reveals it through the Holy Spirit IN US!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. It's all connected!!!

And we aren't trying to be 'good' to be saved, but rather we're made good because we're saved. I grew up not understanding salvation from my church. God's Word does not confuse us. Go straight to the Bible to see what God actually says.

Amen! ‭Romans 10:8-15 NLT‬ [8] In fact, it says, “The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: [9] If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. [11] As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” [12] Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. [13] For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” [14] But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? [15] And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!” bible.com/bible/116/rom.10.8-15.NLT

The part where you showed the example of trying to clean up an oil spill with a rag....how we just make our messes bigger ... How often do we try to clean up our messes in life and we just can't seem to clean them up or fix them or we make them bigger? This is why we NEED Jesus. Jesus is the one who can 'wipe away' our mess (our sin). He paid the debt for our sin by His death. His blood covers our transgressions and washes us 'clean.' Because of Jesus' sacrifice for us, we're now in right standing with God again. NOW we learn how to live in this new life--with a 'clean slate.' For me personally, my gratitude towards Jesus is what gives me the desire to live under God's instruction, to obey His commandments. And not reluctantly, I WANT to live differently for Him. I WANT to learn how to live the way God intended for me to live. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Thank you, Lord. 🙏🏻

‭Romans 6:20 NLT‬ [20] When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the obligation to do right. [21] And what was the result? You are now ashamed of the things you used to do, things that end in eternal doom. [22] But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. This grace is a FREE gift given by God. We don't earn it, work for it, we're not born into it, it's freely given and available to anyone who wants it. When we accept this gift, we are born again (made new) and we should want to live different than we used to. We can't do it on our own, but the Holy Spirit living in us will help us when we ask for His direction and wisdom. Thank you, God!! 🙌🏻✝️🙏🏻

Amen. There is so much JOY found in the FREEDOM and sanctification and RIGHTEOUS of God-not my righteous, but His ✝️ God dwelling in us allows abundant blessings to flow (friend, this doesn't equate to material blessings. Jesus IS the greatest blessing). Paul said, I have found the secret to life---contentment. I can be content whether hungry or full, clothed or unclothed, with much or with nothing, outside this prison or chained to these walls BECAUSE I have Christ. I can do all things (endure anything I face) through Christ who gives me strength. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

‭Romans 6:2 NLT‬ [2] Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? Thanks be to God that we are being TRANSFORMED under His GRACE! 🙌🏻 If we are saved, and have allowed (yielded to) the Holy Spirit, our hearts WILL BE changed. This doesn't mean we never sin again, we will never be perfect, but this doesn't mean CONTINUE sinning because we are saved by grace, NO!!! Once we're saved and truly desire Christ to be the one we serve, instead of serving our sin, we should see that sin no longer has a hold on us, we no longer find the same desire to sin, or when we realize we're back in our sin, we should feel different. THIS is the POWER of Christ in our lives. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Thank God for the VICTORY we have in Christ!!! 🙌🏻✝️🙏🏻

From the moment that I wake up...until I lay my head...Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God. 'Cause all my life You have been faithful...And all my life You have been so, so good. With every breath that I am able...Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God. I love Your voice. You have led me through the fire...In darkest night You are close like no other. I've known You as a Father I've known You as a Friend And I have lived in the goodness of God, yeah (Song: Goodness of God by Cece Winans)

If it weren't for my trials and tribulations, I never would lean into the Lord, so I rejoice because of them BECAUSE they led me closer to God! 🙌🏻✝️ I remember when my youngest was deployed overseas and we saw on the news their base was attacked. I had two choices--either live in fear and be succumbed with worry--OR--rest in the peace that only comes from God. I chose to rest in God's peace. This didn't change the circumstance, but it changed me. I gave all my worries and concerns to God. I found peace in chaos. I prayed instead of worried. This absolutely changed everything for me mentally, emotionally and physically. This is the peace even in trials that is difficult to explain, but when you experience it, you KNOW it's not by your own way. For this reason, I am forever changed. I love God so much! I praise and worship Him. I want to live my life for His GLORY and share of the wonderful things He does! God is good all the time and if we think He's only good when all around us is good, we miss so much.

Wow was this message timely! "A wise man is a man who hears my Word and does it." Before hearing this message, I was telling Judy about the church I attended out of town. Something I mentioned about this church didn't align with Scripture and Judy pointed it out. I was operating by my flesh-defending my choice, justifying it, and watering it down to make it 'appear' less bad. I also said I could handle it (which is the king of deceptions and the quickest way to allow myself to be deceived). This is not good. As Jeff said in this message, this is not how I build my house on a solid foundation. Justifying something that doesn't align with Scripture isn't walking in the Spirit, or walking the way a Christian should be walking, it's being a carnal Christian. It's not solid. It's basically trying to live or build my house with the things I want from the world and from Christ, but this won't build a solid foundation. The best thing to do when we realize we're on the wrong path is to turn around. Go BACK to the right path--- not later, not next week, but right now. Thank you God for Your Word which is truth. Thank You for people who know your Word and who will point out the things that we're doing that aren't aligning with Your Word and Your way. Thank you that it's not the mistakes that matter, but what we DO after the mistake that matters. Thank you that we don't have to feel bad about our mistake, but that we can immediately turn around. Judy was like a contractor inspecting my 'footings' today and she noticed if I continue going to this church while on vacation, it's not only a waste of time, but it could potentially cause me to build my house incorrectly. Mistakes can be costly, but the quicker we correct them, the quicker we can get back to building correctly. Truth isn't always easy to hear, but it's necessary for a Christian following Christ. It's necessary for believers wanting to live differently to recognize when we're walking by our flesh--being a carnal Christian. (This reminds me of Luke 9:23: Then Jesus said to them all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.") Justifying something that's partially right, doesn't make it right. It's either aligned with God's Word or isn't. We need brothers in sisters in Christ who aren't afraid to point out things that don't align with Scripture or when we're being carnal. There's no shame in making mistakes if our desire is to not cover it up. John 8:32 " Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." The truth doesn't condemn, but corrects. A contractor pointing out a mistake to a builder isn't wasting time condemning the builder--they're simply pointing out a mistake so we can fix it. Jeff brought up at the end of his message: "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world, for he that loves the world--the love of the Father is not in him." I love the Father and my desire is to follow His way. I'm grateful for people who remind me of truth, show me when I'm not walking in it, or point out when I'm being carnal. Thank you God for Your Word. Thank you for Jeff and Judy and their obedience to teach Your Word. Thank you, Judy, for your correction. And thank you Jeff for this message.

I can say it's not fun the moment we see our sin. 🫣 It's humbling in the deepest sense, but I can also say that surrendering to God and His truth and what He wants to show us leads to the greatest freedom. Sin binds us up, but giving it to God and asking Him to help is so freeing. God doesn't just forgive our sin so we can KEEP sinning as if it's no big deal, instead, the Reverential awe of God changes OUR HEART so that we see sin differently ---we don't want to sin and when we do, we feel convicted. Conviction isn't condemnation. Conviction is accountability, correction and a way to do differently; condemnation is shame and tells you you are a bad person. God convicts BECAUSE He loves us. He corrects us BECAUSE He loves us. God wants us to live a life of abundance according to God's will. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

None of us deserves the salvation Jesus offers us. Jesus interceded on our behalf (all of us who sin) for ANYONE who would believe in Him. This realization alone changes one's heart. When we realize our own sin, and how we need a savior, and that JESUS was the one who paid the wage of death for OUR sin, this is when sin comes into light and we don't want to hide it. We can bring our sin TO God now BECAUSE of Christ and see sin for what it really is. This is how we cross over from hiding to sin to asking God to show us our sin. Such a radical shift!
