Mom loves larks and it dawn now and I heard them outside singing, now they’re my favorite I love them I feel peace every time they sing, they’re as peaceful as the blueness of Sirius the star. They’re not just my mother’s favorite anymore they’re mine as well. This video was released in 2007 when I was 2 years old 💕

I'm here cause my dreams of a marriage partner were shattered, what I thought is not going to be, so I'm trying very hard to go through the greving process. I'm 64 and it's very hard, this is the 3rd marriage that they have justed used me for gain and not love.

There is a beautiful Irish song you may or may not have heard of. It is called The Lark in the Clear Air. It is especially beautiful when played by a professional violinist. Maybe they’ve got it on KZbin.

In some parts of northern England and Scotland, it is said that anyone who lies on their back in a field and listens carefully to the lark's song will eventually be able to make out the words, which are said to run as follows: "Up in the lift go we, Tehee, tehee, tehee, tehee! There's not a shoemaker on the earth Can make a shoe to me, to me! Why so, why so, why so? Because my heel is as long as my toe."

So since everyone is quoting songs here, let me quote the original one: Between the sky and the earth A song is heard An unending stream of sound Pours louder, louder. Unseen is the singer in the field Where sings so loudly Above his first wind carries the song, To whom, it does not know. She to whom it is sung, She will understand who it is from. Pour on, my song Of sweet hope Someone remembers me And sighs furtively. - Glinka

Me too, but I don't think this really represents it well... It's about how larks sing when flying, they fly straight up, singing non-stop, so high it's impossible to spot it unless you've been following it with your eyes since it left from the ground. You just hear the unending song coming from the sky, until the bird finally has to stop and falls down like a rock only to do it again.

The summer nights are short Where northern days are long: For hours and hours lark after lark Trills out his song. The summer days are short Where southern nights are long: Yet short the night when nightingales Trill out their song. Christina Rosetti

Like a laverock in the lift by Jean Ingelow. IT ’s we two, it ’s we two for aye, All the world, and we two, and Heaven be our stay! Like a laverock in the lift, sing, O bonny bride! All the world was Adam once, with Eve by his side. What ’s the world, my lass, my love!-what can it do? I am thine, and thou art mine; life is sweet and new. If the world have missed the mark, let it stand by; For we two have gotten leave, and once more will try. Like a laverock in the lift, sing, O bonny bride! It's we two, it's we two, happy side by side. Take a kiss from me, thy man; now the song begins: “All is made afresh for us, and the brave heart wins.” When the darker days come, and no sun will shine, Thou shalt dry my tears, lass, and I’ll dry thine. It's we two, it's we two, while the world's away, Sitting by the golden sheaves on our wedding day.

“A lark, caught in a hunter’s net Sang sweeter then than ever, As if the falling melody Might wing and net dissever At dusk the hunter took his prey, The lark his freedom never. All birds and men are sure to die But songs may live forever.” *~Ken Follett*

God save these larks from humans. I don't hear them sing anymore near my house where they used to sound in plenty. I pray to humanity to look around themselves once again to see what is missing before destroying nature in the name of technology.
