Copied from another comment on another video: Okay, gonna nerd out a little bit; The Joke released as an EP with a re-recording of Deranged, which was originally an exclusive track on Batman Arkham City. Seems to me like they made the whole EP a tie-in with the character 'Al the Killer' from IKSSE:3. The joker ties in both as the character The Joker, from Batman, and as the personification of Al's humiliation at the hands of the woman he loves (who's name escapes me), and leads to his serial killing. Hence the dream-like murder of The Joker (a woman resembling his lustee), the reality of the bloody knife, followed by the return of The Joker (as his feelings of humiliation). The act of murder being a temporary vent of his feelings, thus his smiling at the photo at the end of the video, with the gradual return to his frustrated face and the reveal that The Joker is still there. But I'm drunk, so what do I know. Btw that sound you don't like is called dissonance, and it's supposed to make the listener feel uncomfortable, so your reaction makes sense.

TBF, I've seen Sweeny Todd and barely remember it. I just remember he was a barber who killed people.. lol. Maybe Ill put that on my rewatch list. I honestly cant remember if I liked the movie or not... I love Johnny, Helena and Tim Burton though.

Movie is amazing and still holds up as one of if not the greatest musical movies of all time. Everybody nailed their parts in that film. The storyline alone is just fantastic and then you add Tim Burton's artistic style, Johnny Depp & Helena Bonham Carter's acting and you have a masterpiece.

Yes, new album coming out. 10 songs on it. I think they did one of the songs with dream theater. This is all so their first album as Independent artists. They said that they could have picked any of the songs on the album as the single because they had the time to make every one of them right.

Thank you for your reaction! This was definitely difficult to watch. Bittersweet & beautiful. The moment the footage of Chester walking in from their original 2017 session for the song. Oh, it hurts. The boys just sitting there listening to the track...keeping Chester alive. Making him proud, post mortem. We loved him life & will always have him in our hearts. It's like they knew the world is still going through it & we needed to hear the pure love that was Chester. RIP❤

Chester actually tried to check out the year before but it just wasn't his time yet. It was a long list of things that really got to Chester. In January of 2015 Chester broke his right ankle and was laid up for about 3 months. Then also in 2015 they lost a friend who worked for Warner as the person who made sure that Warner artist were being played on the radio. She passed away after a short battle with cancer. Then in 2016 Chester lost his step dad who he was close to. Then finally in 2017 they were getting a lot of backlash from fans saying that Heavy was too much like a pop song and then the day before their album One More Light was being released Chris Cornell passed away. It just all became to much for Chester especially after over 30 years of suffering with severe clinical depression. Chester said as long as he was not alone in his head he could live life on good terms but as soon as he was alone it just became very bad at times. He literally told everyone what was going on in the song Given Up. Given Up was about Chester and his struggles. Chester wrote the lyrics just after getting out of rehab in 2005 for drugs and alcohol addiction. Chester wrote songs to help him deal with his feelings in a healthier manner instead of turning to drugs again. It also helped Chester to know that he was helping other people with their struggling as well. It allowed him to focus on helping everyone else instead of necessarily focusing on just his struggles alone. Linkin Park gave millions of people a way to voice what their feelings were/are.

It is like having Chester back for just a few minutes. The song you are talking about is Lost. One of the "lost" demos of Meteora. This is from the One More Light album time period. Chester was able to mimic other singers but no one is able to mimic Chester. Chester was able to mimic Jonathan Davis and Billy Idol very easily. In 2002 Chester recorded the song System for the Queen of the Damned soundtrack and was able to make it sound like Jonathan Davis was singing in the background. It really Confucius some people think that Jonathan Davis in the background but it is just Chester's voice layered on top of it's self.

I just came across this band about two weeks ago myself and I had a very similar reaction as you, I felt like I was transported back in time. I couldn't believe what I was seeing! I started rockin' with AC/DC's Back In Black, Def Leppard's High 'N' Dry and Pat Benetar's In The Heat Of The Night back in 1980 so I grew up during music's heyday. And this song brought it all back in a way that few songs have done for me in years. Diamante is the singer's first name, she's gorgeous! I think it also means diamond which the band uses as kind of a logo. And that guitarist is amazing, not to leave out the drummer or the bass player. This band is awesome, some quality musicians who have many great years ahead of them yet. Incredible song, great review!
