Hi, so cool, wish I could apply for Theater school, I want to be an actress so bad but due to financial reasons I am going to be a teacher, even though I would love to go to an acting school. Moreover I am not even from the USA so my chances to make it are low 🥺. Btw I think we might be around the same age, how old are you ?😊

Hi! I am 19 years old, about to finish my freshman year of college! You definitely don’t need to go to college to pursue theatre, so if you ever get the chance to in life, go for some auditions and just see what happens! Best of luck to you and I hope you enjoy teaching as well. <33

Ngl rn I’m kinda in the same boat that you were in😂 MSM is my top school and I had my audition with them last month, everything about it seems so wonderful. I have my last audition for Marymount Manhattan tomorrow. Do you have any tips on how to keep my sanity during this whole process??

In total, how many songs/monologues did you end up recording for prescreens? My voice/acting coach says 2 for each will be fine but I don’t know if I’m gonna need more. And for your dance prescreen, did you rent out the rehearsal space?

Hi! I recorded two contrasting monologues and a Shakespeare monologue, and two contrasting songs! I also recommend preparing a cut of a pop song because I used that a couple of times in auditions. Im lucky enough that my mom owns a dance studio, so I used her studio. Honestly, if you have an open space in your house you can use that. Schools know that not everyone can rent out a space BUT if you would like to I know that many people do rent spaces! Thanks for watching and let me know if you have any more questions!

@@bellapachecorarick Wow! Your mom owns a dance studio, that’s so cool! Thanks so much for answering some of my questions! This whole process makes me so anxious since im also in a show at the same time while doing this so double the stress aha. Did you ever do Unifieds or anything like it? I live all the way in CA so its pretty hard for me to get to the schools on the East coast.
