Hey, you have to go to edit , preferences, add ons, and click node:node wrangler. That should enable the shortcut! Happy editing @Tepoxy!

@@gamingcityplayz5891 Try selecting the Principled BSDF box in the shader window so that it is selected / highlighted, and *then* press the shortcut. It just worked for me after messing around for an hour.

I agree this is a solution, but for me destroying a mesh to get blender to work is missing the point of the mesh. There does seem to be a problem where if vertices are too close together, blender weight assignment will fail. So the other option is to look at the really fine detail areas of your mesh, and seeing if temporarily deleting/undoing those high detailed areas allows the weight assignment. Its a good learning curve, but time consuming. The alternative is to simply duplicate your mesh and detach it, scale the rig and duplicate up, then you will find that the weight assignment works as the vertice are much further apart. Once it is assigned, scale down the rig with its duplicate, then transfer the weights from the duplicate mesh to the orignal mesh after, then delete the duplicate. You now have a fully functional original mesh without auto weight painting issues. I think it has something to do with the precision limitations used within blender and indeed any CAD program that requires limitations to enable a realistic scalable range.

@@KurizuKurizu They could add collision detection to vertices and have an enforced minimum seperation, that can only be removed by merging them. Evidently, obeying the maxim that no two entities can exist in the same space at the same time, would be useful not just in the real world.
