Good episode! I actually ended up completely switching my deck choice 2 weeks ago, but a large factor ended up being personal enjoyment. I had spent a lot of time preparing with UB Reanimator, but I knew I wouldn't have had much fun playing a 10 round event on that deck. Since the switch, I've been going hard on testing my new deck, having played close to 75 matches in these two weeks. I'm very glad I made the switch. If I had switched now, it probably would've been too late.

Doing this is just really important. Small changes that attack something on different angles is okay, but revamping or switching the day before is mostly the first step to desaster.

Herald is way better than you say: pump (tokens) but the important points are: make Devourer (and Nulldrifter etc.) 1 cheaper means the 7 mana cards are alive turn 3 with 3 sollands - often mana base is under fire vs wastelands so getting that -1 mana effect really is good. the other "mimic" point is, that cc2 means you not only have something turn 1 besides chalice it also slips in as a fast creature later (trigger fleshraker, pump team) it also means you have options if you are low on mana for reasons. all combined in a cc2 card is solid cause you not need to go big like in the old day playing high cc creatures that are either answered with attacking the mana or with single removal, herald allows you to go wide which is a new ability for eldrazi and is very good at all with fleshraker/command.

Unfortunately still Oops All Spells and storm decks are the hudge trouble killing in turn 0 and eliminating all decks without instant U interaction.

I think unmask for scam after Grief ban is still option to win, maybe not using troll but something with unearth... Whole black/blue goodshell have mana cost less than 4. :)

I started in the ravnica allegience block, and like I cant imagine started playing magic back in 2000s. Like old mtg is super cool and interesting, and is a big reason I started playing commander and am interested in playing pre-modern. But the magic I started with, where I really got into it and my first deck I really enjoyed was blue/black/red midrange using some of the planeswalkers I got from packs, counterspells, and other pretty fun cards like Murmuring Mystic, Sphinx of foresight, lava coil n shizz And eventually when throne came out Spinning Wheel and Sublime Epiphany really became some of my fave cards.

Answer is an obvious no to me. If Oops was ever more popular, blue decks would play Macabre or Leyline over Surgical in SB and it would be near impossible
