This is where Jesse from Operation Ivy got his vocal stylings.

Heard about this guy from this underground comic called 'Neat Stuff'. The Comic artist took him to an 'all-you-can eat' buffet where Wild Man took way too much food, rambled on about his partnership with Zappa and tried to hit on the waitress.

I sent this to my friend who's a childcare specialist and she played this for her 2-year olds and said that they loved it!

I miss the koo koo Fringe of the 60s & 70s. The zippies, Abbie Hoffman, pranksters, the Fuggs, the Pentagon levitators, the dude on the mic at Woodstock 69, Zappa (who championed W.M.Fischer), the East Villlage Other, & et al. Brought the mirth to the whole game.

The breath of Frank's genius has never been properly acknowledged and AN EVENING WITH WILD MAN FISHER is a perfect example. The album is really a brilliantly structured radio documentary that anticipates THIS AMERICAN LIFE or RADIO LAB by nearly 30 years. Nice, Frank, nice.

Larry was a natural genius..the 'crazy' tag pigeonholed him as an oddball novelty act, but he had genuine talent.

This review is for the album - not the song. I have somewhere around 20 Jefferson Airplane/Starship or Starship CDs. I don't think I'd trade any of them for this album. It isn't that the album is bad, it's not - it's just that there isn't anything memorable on it. It doesn't have the quality I'm used to hearing from the band. To be fair I've only listened once and I may feel differently after a few more listens. But I don't think I will. So many bands put out late career albums that make their fans cringe a little bit - this is another one of those. That said I'm still glad I got to hear it. I guess it kind of closes the book on a great band.
