Thank you for your correction! You are correct. In 7:40, I should realize the constant a = 2 is needed for the original expression, so the trick is to multiply the top and bottom by 2 at the same time. The constant in the front should be 6/2 = 3.

A question: Can this be done with 2 metal plates connected to a battery and an ammeter? Will the CMC still be noticable?

Wouldn't hurt to try! The key is if the setup is sensitive enough to capture the slope change in conductivity.

SIr can you make a quick video on the physical significance of Washburns equation how to apply this equation in liquid wicking
@thenanokid Жыл бұрын
Washburn's equation describes the kinetics of wicking: it relates the wicking time and wicking distance. See the video Wicking Flow in Porous Media (kzbin.info/www/bejne/omq6e4CtpMlnoKs) for detailed explanation.

Erratum and additional comments: Slide 3, Szyszkowski equation: sigma is the *interfacial* tension between two bulk phases at some concentration C_2, and sigma_0 is the *interfacial* tension between two pure (C_2 = 0) bulk phases (i.e. when C_2 = 0, sigma = sigma0)
