James Coyne what a man, we must be distant relatives, There is a great beauty about the place yet it can be a very lonely sad place to live in, depending on what is happening in your life

They did so well. Had the disease got a hold there it would have done huge damage in such a confined place. It is a very caring way to help. I live on a smaller Irish island and it was the same here ; we old ones were shielded carefully and responsibly .

Just lit my turf fire on a different Irish island and resonate with this film. We were all locked down. I am immune deficient and cannot take the vaccine so I remain safe in peaceful isolation. Lockdown has saved countless innocent lives here and on all the islands.

So? A very confined area and a disease like covid would rip through it like wildfire. Also - and I live on a different Irish island - there is an ageing population who are very vulnerable. ALso very limited medical facilities. You need to watch what you call ridiculous! Thankfully all islanders knew wisdom and sense. And thuse we escaped covid.

Lockdowns have been the biggest disasters on soceity in history. It divides us in the worse way. We will be talking about the disaster resultant of lockdown for generations, like the old folk about the potato famines and soup kitchens and put into workhouses that killed far more with illness that spread and killed. Families divided and never saw each other. The government reaction did far more damage than the illness.

You can really see here how evil lock downs are, even scaring the kids into believing the big bad virus might get them if they don't stay apart, worst thing is not one bit of this is scientific, masks, 2 feet apart, none of it is science, just media fear mongering and lies.

Not at all. Maybe you do not understand in your shouty mood that what lockdown in Inishbofin means is that the island itself is in isolation so no one from outside the island can come there? A highly infectious disease in such a context and with so many old folk would be a disaster
