@@lizasdocumentary2537 yes you can definitely mix them, but you have to be consistent with the “mix” throughout your work otherwise the stitches will have different shapes. My best advice is to try things out and see what you prefer the most ☺️ at the end it’s a matter of preference!

I see most of the yarn under tutorials do SC by first, yarn under and then yarn over but your yarn under is doing it the same way both times. Does yours produce a better result visually?

@@AsteroidB6120 it’s really a matter of preference. To be honest I rarely use yarn under, I personally don’t mind yarn over and my stitches are still good and consistent. You can do what you think it looks best, the important thing is that you use the same stitch throughout your work so the stitches look all the same ☺️

Oh god I've been crocheting for almost 4 years and just realized my single crochets are a weird hybrid of yarn under and yarn over 💀 It never made a difference in doilies and shawls but on amigurumi it was looking so weird and I finally know why. Thank you so much!!!

Not sure if you mean the tails or just leftover yarn in general, but if you mean the tails, you can weave those into the project as you work! Also new to crocheting but so far that has worked for me 😊

Hi! The pattern for the oval in the video is written in the description below the video. Then in the description you also find the link to my oval baskets where the count is different because I used thinner yarn for the baskets and I wanted to be more oval than circle. I hope this makes sense. ☺️
