BBC 2 did a sight and sound in concert in 1984, featuring Gary Moore in concert at Gold-diggers night club in Swindon. This Chevy concert audio was broadcast in full on the radio station just before the Gary Moore gig and one ran into the other on the radio station, although on TV, only Gary Moore was shown.

Hi Elvis, (something I thought I would need say!), to have a copy of this concert, simply copy the link address at the top, or, hit the share button to save the link address. Then Google yt5s. Then paste the link in the box, & hit the the download button on the screen to get the mp4. You'll be able to play it on your computer or phone.

I hate this concert -in fact, all the Laurie Wisefield era was awful, IMO. Look how he plays on the opening licks to Jailbait - Ted Turner was a million times better guitarist for this band. THE GOOD NEWS is that the 2020 album, COAT OF ARMS is their best since Argus, IMO. Go Andy!

Hate to rain on your parade... But Laurie Wisefield was awesome in Wishbone Ash. But yeah, he was hella different from Ted Turner. The band has had a number of second guitarists over the decades. Andy only picks the best players for the band. They take him in all kinds of directions. That's why the band has survived, thank goodness!. 🎸 🍻

@@blackwoodrichmore4531 I agree. Laurie was awesome. My favourite 'other' guitarist was Muddy Manninen (2004-2017). He coped with AP for an admirably long time as well.

@@neilhughes9310 yeah, Muddy is a top player, & he fitted in well with Andy. I really liked Mark Birch's live efforts with the band as well. Remember the 30th anniversary live dates DVD?. 🎸 🥂🍾 🙂 m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4W2eHSJgs-cjq8

Muddy Manninen (who played with AP's version from 2004 - 2017, the longest ever serving guitarist other than AP) played a Les Paul regularly. I think Ted played one sometimes in the early days, but he was more of a Strat man.

Wishbone Ash got their first album deal because of a recommendation from Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple. Ritchie had a private guitar jam with Andy Powell (Wishbone Ash), & was pleased with what he heard. So since then, it was up to the band to carve their own career.
