Schematic representation is good but cinematography is poor, 1. The colour of ink is not dark enough 2. The audio volume and recording quality is not good. Pl. Improve, and stick to this activity. You will vertaling be rewarded.

Thank you very much for your deciphering of the arrangement of the occlusion table, very nice and simplified, it was in fact a struggle !! Do you have anything similar for anterior teeth waxing for function and aesthetics please? Thank you

Hi, why do you use a divergent angle on a dovetail?
@VoxOMS
@VoxOMS 6 жыл бұрын
Yu En Cheah divergence in the dovetail is to avoid undermined enamel. If the dovetail is not divergent the margin of the restoration is flanked by undermined enamel which doesn't have the support of underlying Dentin. When the patient applies occlusal pressure the enamel around the margin is likely to shear away - effectively leading to an open margin
@5388yuen5388
@5388yuen5388 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks alot. Just another question. Won't other parts of cavity preparation that use convergent preparation shear away due to undermined enamel that does not have support from underlying dentin too?
@VoxOMS
@VoxOMS 6 жыл бұрын
Yu En Cheah - you have to keep in mind that the orientation of enamel is different in different parts of the tooth. it is difficult to explain in words but basically in the pit convergence creates undermined enamel but in other parts of the prep this isn't.

Cingulam is the slight elevation on the cervical lingual surface for anterior teeth. It is helpful if you have a dental study model.

Thank you for the detailed comment. This video and techniques discussed are somewhat school specific. As you know there are a lot of ways to approach dentistry and each practicing dentist has their own norms. In clinical, patient situations, this preclinical technique needs to be modified on a case by case basis. Your guidelines would certainly help provide a more defined approach to axial walls.
@drpeemac
@drpeemac 8 жыл бұрын
You are making a big mistake by not following the long axis of tooth, please mark 6 depth grooves accordingly on 4 corners and middle and follow it while moving in side the contact no matter how thick the bur is roughly a 1mm dia tip will suffice giving the chamfer 0.5mm. Nice video though. Your molar is excessively tapering in four corners.
