I know this video is 7 years old, but maybe one of the detectors went off and the elevator system just hasn't been reset yet.

Next time turn the tool so the flat part is toward the center, then just turn it 180 degrees to reset.

Some time later.... They are not very strong locks. The body is galvanised mild steel (as are the rivets). A hammer and chisel on the hinged side of the shackle between it and the body would get you in. Difficult on a gate, but very possible on the floor. The same for all the old English style I guess, apart from Chubb Battleship, which is made of stronger stuff! The 7 lever version of this is quite compact, neither the 5 or 7 are large padlocks by todays standards. Interesting though!

Sadly, there's a reason why many have not returned to the Rush Rhess Library. The old stacks elevator was completely replaced in 2021.

I second the recommendation! We bought a sample pack off Amazon with several different flavors from a few different companies. Crazy Cups was hands down the BEST.

I've never heard of that brand, I'll have to keep an eye out for that
