Love what you did to keep the lemon from splashing on you. I only used my machine a few times and went to the manual type because I hated the lemon splashing on me. Simple but effective idea. Thanks.

For those of you that are concerned, a section of the Dardenne greenway moves thru St Peters Golf Course. There’s tees running along the trail, a green that players shoot into, and another tee box. It’s not that much of an interference and it forces players to reconsider their shots, forces you to play better. Just like an other obstruction. I think most of the better players may find you enjoy the new challenge when it comes to fruition. I’m sure it won’t be too much of an obstruction for you.

I believe that this is a positive development for St, Louis County Parks and the STL region in general, and it will certainly be able to co-exist with other park uses, such as disc golf. The St. Louis Disc Golf Club has been working with the GRG organization (through the Stakeholder Advisory Group) for over a year now. I also believe that, while there may be some short-term pain, it has the potential to result in a long-term gain for the thousands of disc golfers that currently enjoy the course. Any re-design of tee pads, fairways, and basket locations will absolutely be done with safety in mind. New areas will be opened up for us to re-design the course and assure its continued viability. We will continue to meet with the GRG organization and St. Louis County Parks as the detailed design process continues. We will give our input and work diligently to develop a path forward that will result in a long-term improvement for disc golfers and the overall STL community.

It'll "compliment" the existing disc golf course. That's a good one! 🤣 My prediction is that this path will be WAY too close to disc golf fairways and after a couple of people get hit by arrant throws (kick off of trees) that any fairways near these paths will be forced to relocate. With 14,000 rounds officially recorded at this course in 2023 (hard to say how many weren't recorded), it's a shame that it (and disc golf as a whole) isn't taken more seriously. People who don't know disc golf, think it's just throwing an old catch frisbee around that'll just bounce off a little kid walking down the trail. They don't realize it'll likely be an emergency room trip and possible permanent damage.

Unger park. Is the most played course in the whole state. Tearing it up is a mistake. I guarantee the disc golfers outnumber the trail users 250 to 1. It’s time the county parks recognize disc golfers are the only people to utilize the center of the parks. Where all other activities are on the outskirts.

Huge fan of Great Rivers Greenways however this plan dissects the disc golf course one almost the entire front 9. This is the most popular disc golf course in the region per official uDisc metrics and this plan looks like it will have a huge impact on that. I hope I can rally against this.

I'm also a huge fan of Great Rivers Greenways and this is the course I play most often in St. Louis. I think there is a balance that can be struck here. It is not uncommon to have multi-use trails that go through parks where disc golf is played. Is it possible to route the path behind the basket for hole 1? Otherwise they may need to cut a new hole 3 or 4. Another option is to add another open hole after current hole 9. This connection in the G.R. Greenway system is too important to leave incomplete.

Hello! We have been working closely with disc golf players to ensure this is not a conflict, it's one of the top priorities of the project. If you have specific ideas or feedback or want to discuss further, let us know! We welcome this input. [email protected] or 314-436-7009. Thank you!

I’ll never understand why it takes GRG 15 years to build a bike path. Think of the whole generation of kids you could help if you just built fast and upgraded over time!

Mill Creek Valley will be a part of this Greenway. Mill Creek Valley was the place where many many African Americans lived when St. Louis City was Segregated. I am glad to know that that part of St. Louis's History will finally be uncovered. It was a bleak and disturbing past because the City decided to remove all those people - over 20, 000 people for so-called Urban Renewal - to construct Highways. The Mill Creek Valley area was bulldozed down, people were forced to move. The remarkable thing about this removal is the fact that people continued to exist, and survive and make progress. Mill Creek Valley was actually a Black Wall Street right here in St. Louis City. I am working with a group of people who grew up in Mill Creek Valley. Along with Great River Valley, we will be allowed the chance to tell some truths about this remarkable place. Thank you Great River Greenway.
