I just started listening to Hard Metal today, and I thought it was just a Pain In the Ears at first. But I know I was wrong. It's more than noise it's a Masterpiece.

Hey Marc! I found a CD at a record store for a band called Blind but couldn’t find anything about it online. You were listed on the inside and was wondering if you had any information about them? Let me know if you got any info. :)

Thi biggest issue with analog mixing (for me) is not being able to instantly recall a mix. I’m constantly jumping backwards and forwards between projects and songs and when I shifted to digital, I was more than happy to leave all that analog stuff behind. I now mix on a Presonus Studiolive 32 channel mixer with Studio One. It’s the perfect hybrid setup for me. I still have an analog input chain but that’s it for me. :)

If you’re just turning down vocals, just put the old mix in your daw, reverse the the phase of the vocal track and mix it in until the vocals sit right, 💁🏼♂️
@marcgolde Жыл бұрын
Yes, in theory. But I'm compressing with a hardware unit outside the box. Just flipping phase and blending it doesn't follow the dynamics of the processing or effects I used. Trust me, I've tried this many times and never got a usable result.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:14 🎙️ *Mixing involves blending multiple tracks, adjusting balance, panning, and applying effects.* 01:23 🖥️ *Digital mixing offers advantages like absolute recall and cost-effective emulations of analog equipment.* 03:24 🎛️ *Analog mixing provides a wonderful sound quality but lacks digital conveniences like recall and flexibility.* 05:27 ⏲️ *In analog mixing, decisions are made in real time, and once a mix is done, it's gone forever, making revisions challenging.* 06:55 💰 *Revisions in analog mixing can be costly and involve recreating the mix from scratch.* Made with HARPA AI

Skip the daw and use a 2” multitrack and mix PURE analog ❤

That’s fine, as long you can mix quickly and don’t plan to come back to the same song again later.
