Nice review! I've personally found that most full bent pipes I've smoked gurgle at some point. If you can pass a pipe cleaner through it, just keep one on hand and run it through when it starts. Otherwise, Occasionally holding your hand over the bowl and shaking the pipe like a bottle of ketchup has worked. Have a good one!

I love that root briar. Heavily used but that is some good porous briar.

Chenets cake and Exclusive are heavy perique blends from C&D. I put a little extra Virginia in the Exclusive to sweeten it up. It's kinda like a super Va/Per. Give them a try if you haven't already.

I have an Old England pipe as well, I heard the were Sasieni seconds, great pipe. I have a billiard pipe from John’s pipe shop that used to be in Los Angeles, that pipe has beautiful briar wood grain. I’m like you and get estate pipes. My entire collection is antique store finds
