Dude you popped up at just the right time. I appreciate the way you film as I sometime struggle with the pace of other peoples videos. Some people FLY through it abd id have to rewind the same carb video like 300 times just to catch wtf happened. This is just what I was looking for. Just subscribed.

Thanks for the sub! Glad I could help! I made the video for that very reason, I had been watching letterbox but hadn't scene an update from him, I try not to skip anything in videos, cuz I totally feel the rewinding 300times thing, been there. Wish you the best on your project!

I just painted Samurai 2K high heat silver with poor results. Fan spray nozzle did not spray a wide good pattern. Paint had small globs every so often. I had much better experience with Spraymax 2k aerosol.

I'm not sponsored or anything so I can tell you this has definitely happend to me, and this is what I've found, clear 2k paint no matter the brand, (I've used them all) generally spray better and are more forgiving. With colored 2k paint, I'd suggest warming the can in boiling water before breaking the seal to mix them. You'll get a smoother mixture a d it will go on less globby. If you can spray in an environment with low humidity that isn't too cold that's even better. Spraying in the cold outside or in high humidity will 100% fk up your 2k paints. Also some nozzles have defects, it happens, so try a different nozzle they usually come with 2. But your right 2k clears spraymax especially usually spray really well in comparison.

Im getting the idea that the whole general color line is 2k?

Pretty much, 2k paint are amazing, love them, all the brands that make it are great in my experience but this video is specifically about samurai 2k paint.

Dude Awesome! I followed Letterbox's disassembly as well! ha ha I am completely done with the top end and just waiting on some tools for the bottom end. Glad I found your videos, I will prob watch them a 1000 times trying to put this thing back together. Love the black color scheme I would like to do the same for my motor!

Theoretically yes I think so, but it would be difficult and I'm not sure if recomend it, full rebuild could be done ina. Weekend for less than $150 and that'd double the life of yr bike most likely. Just my opinion

@one.crafty_boi
@one.crafty_boi Жыл бұрын
Plenty of ways to do it, plain old parts cleaner and a tooth brush is great, or if your lazy like me, go on Facebook market and pickup an old dishwasher for free, then have it cycle parts cleaner fluid, toss in whatever parts you want cleaned and yr done.

Dear Baby Jesus...thank you for the Crafty Worksss video. Being that you installed everything into the lower crankcase first....How did you ensure the primary chain oil feed nozzle stayed in place when you turned over the upper crankcase? I didn't see any contact points for it on the lower crankcase
@one.crafty_boi
@one.crafty_boi Жыл бұрын
I believe I actualy put it on the underside of the top of the crankcase since there is a place where it seats into the case, instead of just setting it on the bottom. So it sandwiches in. I just used the Lucas Assembly lube. It's very tacky it was enough to hold it in place as I dropped the top on.

After you rebuilt the engine...how did you get it back in the frame?
@one.crafty_boi
@one.crafty_boi Жыл бұрын
The frame on these 750s actually comes apart on one side, it allows you to slide the engine in, you just have to remove the oil filter before you do it, but it will slide in with a bit of fiddling about. It is heavy though so its nearly impossible to do alone.

@@one.crafty_boi I saw a guy strap the engine to a big barbell and then rest each end on jacks which were on top-up rollers to roll it in by himsef

@TouchPoint Property Management I saw that video too, definitely would have done something similar if I'd had the room, but the tight work area didn't really allow for anything like that, I may do something similar though when I pull the engine for frame paint.

I used the Lucas Oil High performance assembly lube, it has a green color to it, I really like how tacky it is because it lets you set things in place as you assemble the engine.

I see that had some trouble putting the main cam chain on the sprocket .... how did you eventually get it to sit on ?
@one.crafty_boi
@one.crafty_boi 2 жыл бұрын
@@Adm7869 if I remember correctly I used the cam retainers that go on the ends to press the cam down enough to attach the sprocket, I believe I had the chain on the sprocket already, and I just bolted it back onto the cam. So i didnt have to pull the chain onto the sprocket just bolt the sprocket on. I think the key was using the retainers to press down the cam so I could get the chain on, also make sure your chain tensioners are as loose as you can get them.
