Hi master Konstantin, May I ask ?It may sound stupid 😅 ! About the footwork; the forward and backward steps with the toes-heel, is it applies to the Latin steps or the slow dance steps such as waltz??? Thanks 🙏🏻
@DanceSpiritClub22 күн бұрын
Hi, there are no stupid questions:) Toe-heel footwork for steps forward and backward applies to most Latin steps, unless you dance corta jaca in Samba😊

Could you make a comment about the difference in rising action for the person on the inside of the turn. Many figures have " no foot rise "( nfr) for the person on the inside of the turn.
@DanceSpiritClub22 күн бұрын
Good question.In this video our main focus was on explaining footwork during the gradual rise and fall. But there are other techniques where there's no foot rise . For example, in Feather step in the Foxtrot there is no foot rise for lady.

I truly wish you would wear a different colored legs on your pants red on the right and white on the left so when we watch you we can tell what leg is moving it's really difficult when all people wear is black it's also especially difficult when the background behind them is the same color as their clothing good job on not doing that although it's been tried.

you may explain well , but i believe it is very important to cound this way Slow / Quick
@DanceSpiritClub2 ай бұрын
Slow Slow Quick Quick Slow Timing in Cha-Cha-Cha is the same as 2 3 four(quick quick) 1, so, here we divide count 4 for 2 equal half, let's say 50/50. However, the most useful timing for this dance is 3/4 1/4 for count 4. Usually Slow/Quick timing is used in social dancing. The video is focused on International style Cha-Cha.
@peterkosmas95182 ай бұрын
@@DanceSpiritClub I like the time you count it . I am just stuck here with a so peculiar metronome that works with slow quick . :)

How to make a clear lead and differentiate Spanish drag vs Back Corte? The beginning looks similar.
@DanceSpiritClub2 ай бұрын
You're right there are similarities in the fist step. In Spanish drag man "dragging" lady into close position. In Back Corte man leads lady into step backward.

It would be helpful if you indicated which foot to start on. I don't know about others, but my brain has difficulty translating left/right when looking at a video. Also, is there another change turn to go from reverse turn back to natural turn?
@DanceSpiritClub2 ай бұрын
Thank your for your feedback. Next time we'll pay more attention for indication which foot to use. In V.Waltz Natural Turn man starts with right foot forward. Lady with left foot backward. Reverse Turn - man takes left foot forward, lady right foot backward. Also to go from Reverse Turn to Natural we can use other type of closed change step, when man takes step forward on left foot and lady takes step backward on the right foot.

When you dance together, you make step on beat 2 to the side with turn about 1/4. When you show man steps separately you make second step forward with no turn. I'm interested - why?
@lisenkoevg2 ай бұрын
@@DanceSpiritClubThank for you answer. When you dance together you turn 1/4 even in the end of FIRST step (or between first and second)! You comment add more confusion to me :) Did you see youself (together and separately) in this video in slow speed (50% or even 25%)?
@DanceSpiritClub2 ай бұрын
Sorry for the confusion. The answer was for the V. Waltz Video. Here's the answer for Double Reverse Spin: second step for man has to go forward. However, we do create strong CBM and doing spin on right foot on count 3. That's why in dynamic it looks like step forward and side step are done in the same time.

Sadly my experience is that some people simply cannot find beat 1, and need a really heavy drum beat before they can get it. This is especially true in foxtrot, where there is emphasis on beats 1 and 3

Your teaching method is very good you 'uncover' the detail gently, and the routine is nice but not comolicated. Could you cover the chase? Perhaps you can enlighten me on something that has always bothered me. Tango is explained in the technique books ( e.g.Guy Howard's) as being counted 1,&,2,&. 2 beats in the bar. 33 bars per minute. So that would be 66 beats per minute, which it isnt. But for me, its simply 4 beats 1,2,3,4, and im delighted you explained it as such. Is there anyone out there who can explain why this 1&2& stuff still persists. I teach tango to beginners and some of them have read this 1&2& stuff and ask me to explain it. Its hard to explain to be honest. Why dont we count foxtrot 1&2& ?(ive been asked this). My best answer is that modern tango derives from the argentinian tango, but im really guessing

Excellent video. Very useful and clear explanations. Thanks. The Fallaway Reverse Slip Pivot is 4 steps (fwd, side, Fallaway, and Pivot). The rhythm you are doing is QQQQ I suppose. As in the book. At the end of the QQQQ figure, what is it you have added ? I guess it is not an additional pivot? It looks like 2 first steps of a reverse turn and finally feet together as the third step. What would be the rythm of the end ? QQS ? My issue is to finish with a bar and be able to resume dancing from left leg. It looks like you are going to resume from right foot.
@DanceSpiritClub22 күн бұрын
After Fallaway Reverse Slip Pivot we do reverse turn with viennese cross for man. Timing QQS. Man finishes on left foot and lady on the right.
