This worked great!. But does anybody know how to get that glossy sheen off these faux locs? Real dreds are flat not glossy. I might put a couple of tablespoons of baking soda in the boiling water and see if that works.

I think the bangs look alright just now with the braids that are kind of mimicking straight hair. I think if she put some locs or curls in it, the bangs would go together with the hair better. The bangs are giving kinky but the braids are themselves are giving straight, flat 😂😂 yall know what I mean?

Braids aren't meant to mimic straight hair. They're braids. I think it goes together perfectly because it looks very similar to traditional African styles with this same method if these braid or twist bangs and flat rest of the hair.
