Unfortunaly there are no cabanas for rental at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Pools with cabanas for rent would be contemporary, yacht and beach club, Polynesian.

Great Question and at this resort it is a little confusing! So Jamaica and Aruba both only have standard room options. So if you book a standard room you could be placed in either neigborhood.

Thanks for your comment! It was an older strategy that we would use to get the most out of waiting in lines. Disney has now changed to a new service for cutting down your time in line.

@ Ooh! Ok, I was looking for a video on the Polynesian new tower rooms. I am going in January and I believe that’s when it opens. I am being told it’s not near the monorail. Do you happen to know?

@@c.n.session4638yes! The Polynesian is on the monorail loop. Which you can take to Magic kingdom and to the transportation and ticket center then to Epcot!

@@modernminimalisthome Got it! Will you be staying at the Tower and doing a video? When I called…the concierge mentioned that we have to walk to the “main hotel” to catch the monorail. Also, they mentioned Blizzard Beach. Do You guys have a video that I missed on that? Sorry for all the questions!

@@c.n.session4638yes! That is on our list for 2025 🥰 Also that’s correct you will need to walk to the main lobby in the Polynesian to get to the monorail station. We haven’t been to blizzard beach yet, if it were us we would spend our time in Disney world at the Main parks (Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom or Disney springs) during the first few months of the year as you never know what the Florida weather will be. It might be a little cold for a water park in January.

They actually tested over 600 songs and these ones were the best fit! (without being edited beyond the start point) I agree with you, though; they all give the ride a different feel. September is the best, but it’s fits best as a Guardians song. Conga fits the Guardians’ chaotic and spontaneous personalities and gives the ride a feeling of frenzy, which tracks with the random conversations they’re having while the world ends. I Ran is pretty standard, but the song is about an alien abduction and (I think?) is an 80s song. One Way or Another just fits the ride energy pretty well - nothing too special in my opinion, but still fun. Disco Inferno fits the Guardians theme but is the only song that is overplayed and I actively wish to not hear anymore. 😅 Everybody Wants to Rule the World feels like you’re floating through space and is the best song to close your eyes on! (Seriously, it’s a fun experience.) The only songs they should have added are Dancing Queen and Livin’ On a Prayer, but those take editing and splicing to fit. Sorry for the long response, but I thought I’d say my piece. Have a great day!

I've been staying at CBR since 1991, and those are literally my only two complaints. Port Royale/Centertown Market had a better vibe before, looking like an actual Caribbean market. And the Riviera kind of ruins the overall vibe of the resort too. It used to feel like you were enclosed in your own little tropical paradise. Now you've got the Riviera looming over you.

If you live outside of Florida, is basically not worth it. Unless Disney does it the way Universal is, and allow does who live outside of Florida to also purchase the other passes.

If Disney did the Annual pass the same way Universal does theirs... It would be much better and more people would get it. Us outside of Florida only have 1 option. So dumb. while Universal at least gives you the option to have any of the other passes.

CBR was our first onsite stay around 2006. When Disney was great! Cute themed rooms with bedspreads. DDP that included appie and dessert and gratuity with dinner, paper FPs, DME and airline desk ❤ We went back for another stay in 2021. Standard rooms weren’t refurbished yet and still had carpet. But room was fine. Loved the Skyliner. Both stays we were in Jamaica. My fav location. A couple of times we walked over to Riviera for food. The food at CBR food court was very good, although I miss the theming of the old food court that looked like you were in an outside market. But as far as resort pricing, Universal has it over WDW. We just stayed at Sapphire Falls in Universal for UNDER $200 and as far as amenities it runs circles around any wdw moderate. Are the standard rooms now refurbed? All I see are 5th sofa pics.

YES! CBR is a great moderate Disney resort! So many great amenities and that Skyliner access really makes this resort AWESOME! We typically stay in a 5th sleeper room, we like the additional space that they provide to our family of 4. As for the standard rooms, we understand that the refurbishment project of all the rooms at this resort was completed in early 2024. But just to make sure you can always make that room request when you book your stay.

When leaving AK around 11am and heading to Sanaa for lunch, will the bus drop us off right at Sanaa area? This will be our final trip day and everyone is just tired of walking at that point. And then after we eat lunch if we want to go to the Mara to get Zebra Domes, is there an internal bus that takes us to that? That is the kind of bus that we may have to wait longer for, right? And finally, when departing and heading back to our hotel for a nap, we would take a bus from AKLodge to MK and then monorail from there to Poly? Sorry for so many questions. Just trying to see if this is practical to do.

Great Questions! Yes, the bus from AK to AKL will take you to Kidani Village, which is the DVC portion of the resort and where Sanaa is located. After you are done, you should be able to jump on any of the buses as they will stop at Jambo House before returning to the park destination (just confirm with a cast member at the front desk as things can change), where you can then hop off and enjoy those awesome Zebra Domes (which you can also find at EPCOT for a limited time during the 2024 Food & Wine Festival)! There may be a slight wait depending on how full the buses are, but shouldn't be too bad during the midday at AKL. And yes, if you are staying at the Poly I would suggest either 1) Bus to MK and then monorail or boat to the Polynesian OR 2) Minnie Van from AKL to Poly. Midday rates for the Minnie Van (additional charge via Lyft) may be quite reasonable and worth it for your group if you are tired and looking for convenience (and time savings) on your final day! Hope you all have so much fun!
