Simply put: the world is degrading and this is just one visible part of that process. There are a lot of movies and sci-fi stories who paint the picture of how the world would look then - a hand full of megacorporations issuing 'one fits all' products. I spent a lot of time thinking about the causes, and one of them is that we truly get a rule of the masses, brought forth by the rise of the internet and social media. You have to know that psychologically, creative thinking types are a minority of about 25% of the population, but they have dominated the world in the past by putting up a huge majority of political and cultural positions. This system is going to break - just look at who supports Trump, Orban, Erdogan, Kaczynski, Wilders and the like, and what they propose: 'populism' - the rule of the masses, killing individuality and diversity.

The lyrics were clearly inspired by 'Big Spender' (1966): "Hey, big spender Spend a little time with me."

Mary the song is almost there, maybe needs, maybe needs, maybe needs, cow bell, that's it, this song needs cow bell. I think the song was nice, much better than what might be created about me.

Someone needs to send the video to Rick Beato and inform him he has been mentioned in a song. I wonder if he will critique it?

Congrats on the new addition! What a wonderful guitar for a wonderful musician. You both suit each other so well. And of course I'd love one...although I'd have to play it first!!!

No, it’s within the Jazz tradition to do this and Jazz is the greatest contribution to music from the U.S.

There is no such thing as boomers Gen d millennials Gen z or alpha just all made up labels by corporate to matket thr 18-20 demographic(1995-06) which 28/29 years olds have nothing in common with under 25 years olds. Thry didn’t go to school with each other and even if so it would’ve been one or two unlappef years within one class rarely two. Or the 30-39 and 40-49 demographs. Even myself born in 96 can’t relate soth Gen Z slang, clothing, shitty toktokcore and Instagram core misic , Toktok, and pop culture TV/movies. I feel old to be Gen Z yet young to be a millennial. I was in elementsty school when the terrorist atrscks happened in the Ststes. I can’t relate to today’s under 20/25 culture.

Good stuff. I like it when you strum chords. Sometimes, although technically great, some of your guitar playing is so busy. It's like you are playing one song and singing a different one.

As an alto-mezzo, I've always liked the sound of the viola, probably because i can relate to it. Violas feel more genuine than violins, less showy, they create comfort. But i mostly like when violas are sweet, sometimes they can be a little too rough and sandy

the Folksinger's Guitar Guide said you don't want a lot of varnish on your guitar. All that thickness will kill the sound. Maybe two coats, that's it.
