They 🔥 When i was in high school i beat up my 97 bred 12s so bad i threw em up on power line by the basketball 🏀 court after they started to fall apart. The 1996-97 pair weren't perfect. The leather was good, but there was a lot of unevenness on the lizard print just from right shoe to left shoe, or lateral and medial on one shoe. They also had "the glitch", where the jumpman tab didn't run flush with the lateral mudguard on every left shoe on every pair in every colorway during the original production run. The three best things about the OG compared to the retro are the metal eyelets, the leather quality, and the deep stitching that gave the sneakers a distinct ribbed look.
