I'm not talking about your circumstances lightly because it's hard. Please know God always has a bigger plan. Everything happens for us, not against us. Even if in the moment or later on there's still that "But we me God? Why this?" Sometimes it's not a test of righteousness but a test of faithfulness. Romans 8:28, KJV And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Dont disregard comments that dont rubber stamp your approach. Further, disagreement is far from negativity.

Listen, can we talk abt how absolute 💩 this 7th grade practice-rap is? I mean, seriously. This shit sounds like it was written on loose leaf paper and not even college lined jawns. Like it was something from a marble notebook that he hid in his desk when the teacher walked around the room. Just trash.

I wouldnt plan for your husband to get a job next week, or even particularly in 3 months. Nor thst he will be bringing home the same amount he has been on the new job. My advice is to temper your spending, holiday spending, travel, fun times and entertainment, and living life.

Between being leaner and also possibly moving, and all the more so if out of town, how is the time to adopt both "use what you own" and "make do" approaches. Everything that you buy over the next 7 months, Nov through May inclusive, and don't completely use will either need to be packed at moving costs, given away and donated, or tossed. On the other hand everything you can completely use won't need to be packed, given away, donated, nor tossed; and it means less purchasing too.

Since moving, in the area or out of the area, is in the 2025 plans now is the time to start going through all the closets, all the drawers, all the shelves, all the furniture, and all the stuff to divest yourselves of all you can; watch some of those minimalist utubes. To assist motivationally, start pricing moving costs. Consider the cost to move some of the bigger and heavier items versus replacement costs of the actual value of the items which will put you in the used market. Since money will be less than ideal start selling what you can on Facebook Market Place, Craig's List, etc... This includes the piddley decor, clothing, kitchen and hobby, and other stuff as well as the bigger stuff. It would bemy advice to allocate the $1 sales as well as the $1000 sales into your moving account.

No, it is not over-reacting to have concerns about your husband getting paid lump sum vs by pay period. If you get laid lump sum, you get taxed as if that's your 2 week paycheck which often puts people in a higher tax bracket.

Congratulations for trimming the travel, the memberships, the frivolous spending, and the entertainment.

Be sure to utilize that November YMCA membership to its fullest. Take your nice, long hot showers there rather than at home as much as possible.

Thank goodness you are paying the interest on EACH student loan so that the unpaid interest isn't compounded upon the principle month after month.

I will assume that times are tighter and, when times are lean it is all the more important to keep up with the budgeting! Videoing it or not is less important than running the numbers complete with actuals. HAVE A PRE-DETERMINED ALLOCATION FOR ALL LEFT-OVERS. Or, commit to running a mini re-budgeting with your left overs. Left overs are want left over on a pay-by-pay basis rather than a monthly basis.
