Coarse is the way to go when re-grinding a bevel. A finer wheel will cause your chisel or plane iron to overheat much faster than a coarse wheel.

Hello Mike. I have been Playing with woodworking for about 25 years. I also have both shoulders damaged with rotator cuff. As long as I do a certain light group of exercises I am perfectly fine. If I stop then it takes a while to get the pain to go away. One suggestion for videos might be if you have various machines that you have found ways to improve and/or jigs that most people might not be familiar with.

I have a similar saw with the T slot. (Actually had the exact same model you have but I killed it.) The slot has been a constant frustration. Is the runner in two pieces?
@Mikes-Custom-Wood-Crafts
@Mikes-Custom-Wood-Crafts Жыл бұрын
Yes the flat bottom and a piece on edge glued and screwed to complete the T . Then slid the T track in the groves glue lay sled on to dry then screw them on!😁

At last, someone with the same dismal tools that I have. How did you make your sled given the little nubs which create a T shaped? Am tempted to grind mine off. Already had to do one to make the featherboard fit. (And great video, the tool comment was not intended as an insult.)

Pretty much just copied the meter gauge slide with Wood with the flat bottom of the slide and a piece on the edge and then glued it and screwed it to make the T into the bottom of the slab works well also, I have a piece of wax to use on the T in the table grove

I remember watching Norm build this bench back in the 1990’s. Norm was the guy who put a lot of us into the power tool mindset. This bench lacks only one thing in my opinion and that is a Moxon wood vise for hand tool woodworking. It was nice to see Russ Morash recently upload all those old videos onto KZbin.

Hi Mike! The videos I enjoy the most are build videos, but the nuggets that really draw me in are tricks, tips, and jigs to make difficult tasks easier. Greetings Mike! I’m Happy I stumbled onto your channel. I look forward to following along. I’m a full time small furniture builder in Fredericksburg Virginia. I started a channel a few years back to document, share, and record a timeline of workshop, builds and shop updates. It’s also fun to share information with fellow woodworkers. Thanks for sharing your shop and story. Wishing you continued success! Wishing you all the best in this new year.😎✌️
