Good content and conversation all. Thank you! I know that it has been discussed, and I’ve mentioned it in a comment section on one of your videos….a resource guide letting us know what the various websites and resources offer, and how to navigate them would be fantastic. I find I get confused and turned around every time I try to find some thing. I’m not entirely sure where to look, it’s almost too much information from too many different locations

Interesting watch. You have some great home brewed options and interesting details. The Free City of Altimira looks great! I love where its located on the map as well. Perfect placement. When will it be available for order? I look forward to incorporating it into my campaign. I’m so old school I get triggered AF when the word species is subsided for race. The original game designers called it race and I’m going to too.

Online play (Fantasy Grounds) is the greatest game changer for me..I can play with people in different time zones in the comfort of home in the evening. Also, a lot more female players, currently have 3 females in my DMed Aerdy game, and playing 2E/1E rules. Two of the female players are brand new to D&D, one lives in the UK and plays in the wee hours of the night..her PC, a Baklunish mage, stabbed a hatchling green dragon with a killing dagger blow, in her very first session. The other newbie, joined last night, her Suel necromancer and the the other mage were attacked in the bathhouse by a doppelganger disguised as a maid in the Ket embassy in Rel Astra (the ambassador was poisoned in last nights session, a masked ball- the PCs now searching for the murderer(s). ) And everyone enjoys returning each week for another 2-1/2 to 3 hours of original adventures ( I use the PDFs-Ivid the Undying, Scarlet Brotherhood for the overall background and current events), but the plots and encounters are my own (not regurgitating the classics ToEE, Giants etc).. 7 players right now...one of best since 1981 Keep on the Borderlands.

I am coming back to gaming and Grayhawk after a very long hiatus. I am very happy to have discovered that Greyhawk is still alive and well. I was an avid gamer and dungeon master using exclusively the Grayhawk setting all through the 80s and early 90s. Myself and some of my players from the past are reconvening with a new campaign!!! Tracking down the materials and trying to navigate a plethora of websites and information that is out there is a little daunting to say the least! A resource guide would be most appreciated! We have decided to use the C&C ruleset for now but may switch over to adventures Dark and Deep when Joseph makes it widely available. We are going for maximum nostalgia and there’s a couple of things about Castles and Crusades that we don’t love. As older gamers getting back into the hobby after a long hiatus we where also quite surprised to see how the game is changed, and in our opinion, not for the better. 😮. We played a much more strategic and tactical game…just how Gary intended. We never engaged in the voice acting the obsession with “staying in character” that seems common now. It was never something that we did or worried about. Not to our taste and too close to LARPing for us. We will just continue to play the game we always did… the DM carefully describing the situation, and the setting followed by the players carefully describing what their characters are doing (in our own voices!!) ….then dice decide the outcome. I am under the impression that this is frowned upon in current games (from the various live games on KZbin exc….)

TYVM for the comments! You really need to watch my Live Streamed games, as you are describing the way my 44+ Year Greyhawk Campaign has been run with both my regular Thursday night group and my special event groups! (actually have Ed Greenwood and his merry band of Two Drink minimum Saturday night (tonight!) 6pm edt). There is NO right or wrong way to play D&D or DM, so do NOT worry about what you are told or what is frowned upon. As you watch some of my games you will understand rather quickly, I do not fall into that as you call it LARPing category LOL. Play the way YOU and your friends want to!!! @@LordGosumba thanks for the response and I’ll certainly check it out, I’m not up on Twitch but I’m sure I can sort it ! Good to hear that some others are still running at the game in a more traditional manner. Totally agree there’s no right or wrong way, but it’s nice not to feel alone ☺️.

@@LordGosumba I should also add that we are choosing to start our campaign in southern Keoland (south of the Gnarley in and around Saltmarsh) in the Spring of CY 576. Very curious about if other choose to ignore/avoid the Greenhawk wars and keep the Flanaess in balance….or go ahead and play through the wars. I’m leaning towards ignore them but worried about all of the available material that I won’t be able to use….

@@curryscott8100 some suggestions, why not start your Campaign slightly earlier, like 572 or 573? Gives you some extra time to ponder the wars. For me, I waited a bit until the time was right as I already had over 20 years put into the setting LOL. (BTW my Campaign started way back in 569; at the Battle of Emridy Meadows!) Sunday evening Gabbin Talk Show 7pm edt is DM developing Playstyle, Edition, Setting etc. I will always take live questions!!!
