I received my transcript evaluation report and they didn’t have critical thinking as one of my courses. The only thing I have left thats a prerequisite is pathophysiology, but I did see the critical thinking on their website in term 1 .

Hey so I ran into your channel through OTA, I just got into the program, leaving the nursing program. Awee man is there no jobs in OTA ? I'm now nervous
@goldkissed11 ай бұрын
So some areas are oversaturated with COTA's and have a small job market. But that's not every area, overall I am burnt out with this field. Little career mobility and the pay is subpar. I was a nursing major before I did my OTA program and I regret changing course.

I left a career as a restaurant manager (casual dining) in order to pursue this career. There's both good days and not so good one's, but overall it's the best decision I made in a long time. I make about what i made as a AGM (Assistant General Manager) but without the headache of management. Though everyone's experience is gonna vary depending background and desires. I'm currently studying in a PTA-to-PT bridge. ✌🏾

Can you talk about why you left occupational therapy for nursing (pros/cons)? Thanks!
@goldkissed Жыл бұрын
Hey, I feel like therapy has not much job or pay growth… and it’s extremely repetitive.. people are graduating with 7 years of education just to graduate with 6 figures in debt with a terrible pay and job outlook.. and the physical demands of the job is horrible, I don’t want to be in my 40s and 50s lifting people up… the only good thing I can say about the field is that there are good opportunities in the “entrepreneur” route, such as opening up your own clinic, starting your own home health company etc..if you have drive to do those things… Nursing overall has better pay and career mobility.
