I have several different copies of the Bible. And I still can’t make the sense out of scripture and then I hear you both and a light bulb goes on. I guess I just need to keep reading repeatedly. Have a super week!😊

I identify with the part about losing words. I’ve always been something of a walking thesaurus, and I’m the one coworkers come to with “how could I say…” so it drives me nuts when I lose a word mid discussion.

Quiet quitting has been at work for a long time. But I have heard so many parents that have this in their life. My sister included. But her girls grew up, had children and realized how hard my sister worked to raise them.

Kids have been doing this for a long time. They fly out of the nest and become independent. They come back eventually. Let them grow.

Thank you for talking about estrangement (quiet quitting) and bringing to light this topic that has such a stigma attached, that most people I know, do not realize we are going through this with our son. The holidays have come and gone, and like many others, we heard nothing. We continue to pray and trust in His plan, but it is hard. For any other parents out there - don’t lose hope.

Age does not necessarily equal wisdom, and do not forget the age of Jesus compared to church leaders of the time.

My older brother had a Turbo man action figure when we were growing up. Also I watched Jingle All The Way all my life growing up. Although I haven't seen it in a while. I hope to watch it this holiday season.

As a manager of a convenience store for more than 20 yrs, we had a sign right below our 'No Checks' sign that stated, "In God we trust - All others pay cash". Great episode.

The woman should know if no one does anything to stop him, his behavior will get worse. And if you just have to coddle him all the way he'll just keep doing this until he wipes himself out and it will be mainly because she couldn't bring herself to stand against sin.

You know sometimes God allows falls to happen to some individuals (Pastors, big name people, people in music ministry, etc.)so they can eventually reach people for Jesus with their testimony of his redemption and grace, people they otherwise wouldn't have never been able to reach. God's plans are so much bigger than we can fathom! ❤

11:03 I heard a preacher once say that there was a man that used to lead worship at Hillsong Church, Before Darlene Zschech in the early 90's, and he was the "Music Man" and was as anointed and talented as Darlene, but then he got wonder lust as Carter put it at 11:03, and left Hillsong, and Australia to come to the US to do them same. But he fell flat on his face after getting here because he went to far just making that move. After he left Darlene was promoted to worship leader back at Hillsong Church (or back then "Hills Christian Center") and the rest is history. Hopefully the Lord as helped that man and brought him redemption, grace, forgiveness like the magician in frosty the snow man.

As always thanks so much for this gift this morning. And thank you for the story about the family. Our family is in a bit of a predicament about what to do for Christmas since our parents divorce (after 30+ years of marriage). Hurt feelings tend to cause feelings of protectiveness to come out. All I needed was the reminder to ask what would Jesus do in this situation. Have a wonderful day and God Bless!

Put your nose to the grindstone . So glad I am finally retired, I was losing my joy from work. It used to be my passion and I would pass it on to the. People I worked with. Knew it was time to go and find me again. What a great take on a Christmas movie. I never thought about it in this way , The connection to Jesus is so clear now. Thanks.

Your logic is squed though. If the bad can be made for good then the despair would be good too. Your hurt and sorrow and most importantly regret would continue with you into heaven. And I don't have to tell you that those 3 feelings are what makes us human.
