I know the answer to this question might be really obvious and Im just being stupid but why doesn't he sound anything like the actual song? complete opposite

+GEEK In this video he plays 'Avicii - Hey Brother (Avicii By Avicii)' - Which is Avicii's own remix of it - and then mixes into 'Avicii - Hey Brother (Syn Cole Remix)' for the drop, not a stupid question haha, it's confusing!

I don't get it. Where's the "performance"? I hear pre-recorded tracks, and there's some guy waving his hand around up behind the thing on the stage, and you can barely see his head. This is worse than lip-syncing, it's NO-syncing! It doesn't even take both hands to do. I have a feeling he's waving one hand around up above his head, and he's wanking his little pee-pee behind the wall with his other hand. This sucks hardcore balls!

First of all, you're clearly clueless to DJing, his tracks are obviously pre-recorded, what he does when he performs live is he mixes them. I can assure you that you won't find a professionally mastered version of what you hear in this video, because it doesn't exist, he's mixed two different songs here, with the crowd not even realising. You're the kind of person who thinks DJing is "Just pressing play", if he was in fact just pressing play, he'd be caught out, and if you still don't believe me, watch tour videos, you can see exactly what he does and how he does it, and I can tell you from experience, it isn't easy. He doesn't make £50+ million a year for nothing you know.

Whatever. He presses "play" and moves some faders. I don't care how hard you think that is, that's nothing. And hardly worth the moneyhe's making LOL! Clueless? Talk about clueless, you;ve bought into this whole thing as being some kind of "performance". Hah ha ha! If you know from experience that this is "hard", then you obviously can't play an actual instrument for yourself.

The Guitar Whisperer When it comes to EDM & DJing, you don't pay to see how well the DJ performs the music, you pay to see the DJ's taste in music, and the atmosphere of the crowd, you won't understand this until you go to a big EDM concert. If it's not your kind of music then I appreciate you wouldn't enjoy it as much as I do, but you need to understand that seeing a band perform live and seeing a DJ live are two completely different experiences.

The Guitar Whisperer Mixing is much more than moving some Faders. I play drums and I'm mixing and mixing is way harder than playing drums! I've been on Rock and Metal Concerts and Festivals and also on some DJ Performances and I have to say that DJ Performances are much better! All those people are ecstatic and you can feel happiness all around you. You pay for a great Evening/Night with great music and thousands of happy people. In my opinion and my experience, this is much better than any rock concerts.

There was no live singer, the intro is the intro from Avicii's own edit of Hey Brother from "True: Avicii By Avicii". Then the drop is the drop from the Syn Cole remix of the original Hey Brother. :)
