Just goes to show I think HRT could have put more resources into that car and they were already stretched with how many entries they had and supported (talking the factory team here) - HRT, Holden Young Lions, K-mart and this Brock car seems to have got the left overs like any 4th Tickford car would have if we look at it from the modern age. Disappointing.

The day was miserable weather wise. I had a Kawasaki 900Z1. I bought a big port XBGT coupe after that because i wanted one and so did my girlfriend as she was wrapped! She's long gone. I've still got the coupe. Hell, don't know where she is , don't care. The coupe is fully restored.

What a excellent video brings back many memories of me and my father in Darwin back in the late 80s watching Bathurst on his workshop TV my father being a holden man and saying dick was a bad sportsman he died in 2001 and I seen the light as a panel beater and followed the ford flag interesting to see that dick Johnston started out racing holdens and was far from a bad sport. I believe this video should be shown in history classrooms in every Australian school.. how Aussie is the big XE falcon what a awesome sound that big v8 put out what a true legend dick Johnston is

Evan Green was my all time favourite motoring journalist & race commentator. Will Hagon was a stalwart of car & motorcycle racing commentary. It was he who noticed Barry Sheene spectating a televised race at Surfers Paradise Raceway, and invited him up into the commentary booth. Barry's commentary career was born that day.

Both Evan Green & Will Hagon sounded amazingly alike. Evan Green was a brilliant Motor Sport commentator. Will Hagon commentated the Bathurst 1000 on Channel 7 from 1965-1975 before switching to the ABC.

We were both devasted. Since then you have climbed back, after each fall. You ARE a legend. Many thanks for allowing us in to your world. ❤❤❤

The three guards who hit the young bloke at 5:30 need to go to prison.. with their punching and kicking criminal mates. I suspect sponsors for Summernats next year will be few and far between. Who wants their brand associated with this sort of criminal behaviour by security guards . Shame Summernats shame.

Aaaah shuddup with the 'crowd control's crap lol yes they were there to do a job, failed miserably & will no doubt get free flights back home via Christmas island! But at the end of the day... The drink rednecks started it, thought the could get away with hurling abuse via a drunken pack mentality.... And the learnt the hard way that sometimes people will hold your mouth accountable 😂😂😂 Good on the boys for handing out life lessons, but back to the islands you go lol

After rewatching seeing the herd mentallity calling the security getting things thrown at them, the crowd calling to escalate the situation im not suprised that they became violent. Also to see a crowd of australians at a car meet purposly escalating instead of trying to defuse the issue before it becomes a fight makes me feel so distant. If thats how Australians act at a car meet i dont want anything to do with those scumbags. To think the Anzacs left their loved ones to kill or be killed fighting for our freedom that allows us nice things like a car meet etc and this is how Australians behave and treat eachother its so dissapointing.
