Have you ever found the top speed yet. Awesome build by the way. It does look like a brilliant idea.

If you stack the two heim joints down on the bottom arm of the steering shaft,they'll be more in line with the tie rod eyelets.Also,an imaginary line from tie rod eyelets thru thecenter of the kingpins should intersect at the center of back axle. Harbor freight, I do not recall price, but they were very affordable. Under $15 for each.

8" rims and tires spindles are outside...one just fn broke go to wait a while for new ones
@jmc47126 жыл бұрын
When i turn my kart pushes through the outside wheel. So it doesnt really turn. Not sure what to do. Should frame be higher? This is a shredder kart from original you buildit plans.

Which way are your spindle arms facing? "Outward or inward? Inward tends to work better, like I have on my setup.

Seems like a big lose of power to go through two 90deg boxes. Why not just run a jackshaft mid mower and be done. WOO has done it for years with horizontal crank engines.

@jmc47126 жыл бұрын
Smaller tires in front bigger in back so kart is obviously higher in back i do have a big motor 414cc too powerful? I put bigger tires in front but same turning problem pushes through outside tire when turning so maybe a tie rod length problem?or is it possible not enough weight in the front? Sux

I think a got it on craigslist, but its one of those generic "weld together" steering shaft kits with a splined hub. This is pretty similar: www.bmikarts.com/Steering-Shaft-and-Hub-Assembly-Unwelded_p_4093.html
