After I watched your great video yesterday I ordered the wool for the bag and started this afternoon (I almost got the same colors because I love the composition so much). Now I have two questions. First of all there is a mistake concerning the puff stitches. In your video you say (and write) that there are 5 loops on the hook but actually there are 7. Now I don't know which is right because my granny looks wavy as if there are too many stitches (I only have the sixteen and I've been crocheting all my life so the granny is exactly like the one you made). I even went up to a hook size 10 mm and it still does that (yours is straight). After that I tried the puff stitches with only 5 loops as written and said in the video which was better and not so wavy but then the puffs don't look puffy enough. And thank you again for these wonderful designs ˚˖𓍢ִ໋🌷͙֒✧˚.🎀༘⋆

@@Myrtana1 I misspoke on the video. Sorry about that! Sometimes you can turn your work on the granny squares to keep them from getting wavy. I hope this helps!😊

@@DaysCrochet I do this anyway, as it prevents the stitches from leaning to one side. That is not the problem here. It is like the way it curls if you would do far too many stitches in the circle so it isn't flat anymore. I worked a solution now and instead of the puffs I did two DC together with a slip st. in between and now it is okay. Thank you for replying so quickly and have a nice evening (or whatever time it is in your country at the moment) ᵗᑋ🐢ᵏ ᵞᵒᵘ*

This is a stunning pattern and it works up quickly, thank you for sharing! I tried this pattern from the blog a few months ago and got so mad at it. I decided to pick it back up yesterday, it's been in the back of my head since trying before, and now I can't stop making them 😂 I wish I'd noticed the video back then, it is so helpful! If anyone else is struggling to meet gauge/doesn't use waistcoat stitch often, crochet looser than you have in your life. Pull that yarn UP up. It's so worth it to stick with the 5mm since the Herringbone stitches don't look as neat with a larger hook. You could go back down to a smaller hook after building up the back. Now I'm off to fix the first wallet I completely messed up on 😅
