I can relate to that :-) I'm making the spars at the moment.
@JamesFrost746596 ай бұрын
To duplicate iron bands that go around spars, i like to use heat shrink tubing. Works great! Black heat shink tubing slightly larger than the diameter of the spar. Cut the width you need, use a chopper with a stop set on it to chop many pieces the same width. Slide into position and with a heat gun carefully shrink the tubing. Fits perfect, no seam lines, no glue.

yeah, a few people mentioned that. Admittedly, I was lazy here. I realized this morning that I should have taken the opportunity to completely straighten out the hull. @AhmetAygit Жыл бұрын
@@martijnonderwater still you can paint it over the cracs but you just can not fill the cracs with paint..so it is eazier what i used to do is if iam going to paint it sand it good as i can than spray a grey or black base coat it shows the cracs and surface ups and downs better than little more putty and little sanding off you go..

@@AhmetAygit I usually don't paint the hull, and prefer to keep the wood as it is. During the build I do my utmost best to avoid cracks, because I don't like filling them.
@martijnonderwater Жыл бұрын

@@martijnonderwater Heel erg bedankt!
@martijnonderwater Жыл бұрын
