My adult cats are still fearful of the kitten. I just don't want them to lunge at him or beat him up ☹️

Thanks, this is great! We want to get a new kitten and are pretty nervous to introduce it to our existing cat who is pretty territorial. How are Mingus and Miles doing now? Hopefully they became the best of friends! ❤

Hello Ellie, Thank you for this amazing video. I have plan to join the team by applying for the cabin crew member. I have a question if you please help me out. 1. Is the process the same now, 2024? 2. My German is A2/B1 level, any chance for me, or better I first going for a better language skill then come and apply? Thanks

Cats are better off indoors. They avoid getting hit by vehicles, diseases and other predators. My cat was declawed when I adopted him and he cannot go outside because he cannot protect himself and he lives inside and is very content. Declawing is inhumane and I adopted him for that reason as he had a horrific background of neglect and abuse and I wanted to give him a better life. He has been with me almost 4 years and is happy and healthy being inside. Also, most ethical and legitimate veterinary doctors will not declaw, clip ears or do other cosmetic procedures that are not medically necessary although like any profession there are always those that are unethical.

Your adult cat knows the kitten is a kitten, knows the sex of the kitten just by using it's sense of smell.

We're currently on day 6 with our new kitten. Our older cat is about year and a half. Ours are right about where yours are as far as how they're doing with each other.

I don’t know what you got mixed up here but you definitely need to speak German in order to work for Eurowings. They want German and English, if you don’t speak German , that’s it for you.

I'm on day 6 with our new cat. Nini is 1 1/2 years old and a big boy. Freddy is about the same age or a little younger and smaller. There hasn't been hissing, just an over zelous Nini. We will keep moving forward as well. Thanks for sharing.

I am just in day 6 and yesterday and maybe a teense of the day before were hiss and growl free! Brought home a Ragdoll kitten for our 2 yo Ragdoll. Since Covid I’ve been home with the older one and when I go back to work she will get really lonely (they get bad separation anxiety) so I wanted her to have company. I’ve never introduced cats before and watched Jackson Galaxy’s video, but knew I wasn’t patient enough for that!! We actually did everything you did too-BUT AT FIRST (like day 2-3) when our 2 yo was still hissing-we were telling her NO and tapping her nose. THEN my mama instincts came out and thought “this isn’t going to make her love the baby any more!!” Sooo-I changed to positive reinforcement and everytime she DID NOT hiss or growl or bat at the baby I would just go on and on WHAT A GOOOODDD GIRLLLL SHE ISSS! I really think she knew what I meant and last night they were both on my bed sleeping! Not together yet. 2 yo stilll kinda will bat here and there…wants to smell her hiney…I know that’s normal though. Ragdolls are BIG! Our girl is about 15-16#! So she could really hurt the baby. But I don’t think she’s going to go for the kill anymore!! Day 1 I wasn’t so sure! 🙂 I’m so glad to have watched this and see that I may have done the right thing for my London and Olive to have a long happy sisterly life together! 👯‍♀️ 🥰

thanks for this great video :) I have some questions and hope someone could help. I got a new cat (3y, female) from a freind who can't longer take care of her and my old cat (15y, male) can be a little mean sometimes and i was afraid he would tear her apart lol. But suprisingly, he ignored her at the beginning and reacted amazing to her scent (rubbed against her furr and purred) and after a few days they seemed to be ready to see each other. That went pretty well too, they were pretty calm in the room together, fell asleep and they ate in the same room immediately. But i still followed those steps and didnt let them be alone unsupervised. Everytime they got too close, they would hiss, but both then just turned around and left, no agression. But yesterday my older cat suddenly wanted to slap her out of nowhere and she hissed and growled SO LOUD and he still wanted to slap her, but she hid behind a couch, which my older, fat cat cant fit in. Then my older cat left und i seperated them them for the rest of the day and today. So the thing is, why were they fine with each other at the beginning and now suddelny not anymore? I'm sure i rushed it way too much, its only been 2 weeks, but they really seemed to be ready for all those steps. How do i know if they actually are ready? And also i really can not distract them, if they are in a room, they will just focus on each other, not even treats can distract them and playing with them also doesnt work.
