Such a wonderful presentation and tribute -- and I was over the moon to see Oliver play and give an interview! Oliver was my first Irish fiddle teacher in Pittsburgh around 1989 when I was 9 years old and my dad enrolled me in an Irish fiddle class through the Calliope House folk music society. I was the youngest in the room by at least 20+ years and Oliver was so kind and supportive. I still have the music he hand-wrote for me -- Sweeney's Polka and the Boys of Bluehill -- which were the first Irish tunes I learned to play. Oliver, of you're on here and seeing comments, thank you so much! I still play the fiddle and fondly remember your class. It's so delightful to hear your back story on here and your many fiddle experiences and connections, as well as what brought you to Pittsburgh.

Nothing like a selection of slides to get the heart pumping. Brilliant to see young musicians like these keeping our heritage intact. Denis Murphy would be really proud!
