I’m so torn on what to do! We just went to the RV show in Hershey PA this weekend. My original plan was to trade in my lease Ram 1500 for a bigger truck to get a Lance 1172 slide in camper. Now after seeing the class C motorhomes at the show. we are considering one of them instead but Ground clearance and 4x4 a must. Not many 4x4 ones at the show but plenty of nice affordable ones that weren’t 4x4. My main issue is that I need something to take out onto the beach. The beach sand is a soft sugar sand where I go. There was a rep at the show who told us that we can get whatever class C we want and convert it to 4x4 relatively cheap. I highly doubt it’s cheap but something we are thinking about now. The factor you get so much more out of your money. More space in a motorhome compared to slide in truck bed camper. Especially for my family of 4. It would be used for other travel but a lot more for overnights and weekend stays at the beach. Yet again, there’s so many pros and cons between the 2 types of campers.

Beautiful rig, just bout a similar class C. Getting a 4” lift and suspension upgrade. Don’t need 4x4 at least the way I’ll be camping but who knows maybe in5-7 years I’ll become more adventurous.

6” coil lift with custom rear spring packs + 4WD conversion allows a wider track. On the BT, the front tires fit fine, but as you can see, the track remained quite narrow since it was still 2WD.

We have suffered ZERO impacts during our extensive testing on trails in AZ and Oregon. The stabilizer rides higher than the lowest point of the front axle and slightly above the linkage as one would expect. Here is the deal, these vehicles are designed to be safe, predictable and capable family movers before anything else and most of our customers do not have the 20+ years experience in building and driving Jeeps and other offroad vehicles that we do. THE NAME OF THE GAME IS SAFETY. Our heavy duty ball joints and tie rods are going to prevent most issues impacting safe handling, but we see the stabilizer as additional insurance. Happy to build you one without the stabilizer or maybe a quick disco type bracket in the case you're on the extreme side. LMK!

Is the interior customizable? I hear mostly nightmare stories of post covid rvs.

So a couple points of view here, honestly. We do improve the interiors in EVERY build, but usually by fixing stupid issues and shortcuts in the factory config. That being said, we can definitely customize the interior to your liking. When it comes to resell, though, in our experience, custom interiors spend more time on the market because the automatic assumption is repaired flood or some other form of damage. Either way, if you want to make it yours, we can help!

From an insulation perspective, I don't think you would have a problem. No tank heaters on this one though, so I would probably add those.

Since the rear suspension carries the top loaded weight and sway, what do you guys do to lift rear suspension matching front? Thanks for the video, seems relatively fair priced.

We use custom leaf spring packs to keep the rig height balanced front to rear. I normally would have mentioned that! Speaking of sway, I am a big fan of the Hellwig rear sway bar for this chassis. Appreciate the view, let me know how we can earn your business!

Why are 2 front steering stabilizer required? From my experience that's an indication the front end is not configured correctly and the stabilizers are making up for it. Nice camper but skeptical. Who is your 4 wheel drive conversion from?

These are massive vehicles, with massive running gear and increased height of around 9 inches, nearly 12ft tall! Brackets are off the shelf BDS, nothing custom and frankly I appreciate the increased peace of mind afforded by our stabilizer setup, especially with my family onboard. AJs does all our conversions with a few custom touches to differentiate us from the rest.
