Its funny, I used to listen to this when I was 20-something and was still (what I thought) unaffected. Then I met abuser one, then two, both of which committed suicide--one after almost killing me and other things, iow, couldn't face his own prison sentence and then the other years later who killed himself in front of me, because I "didn't love him as much as the man who killed himself previously/tried to kill me with his bare hands". I didn't realize the agony and sadness this song conveys; it is about domestic violence. And worse, those whom end their own lives for the sake of rectifying it. For proving their "point'. For laying the blame elsewhere. Anyway, i have died a little, everyday thereafter. And I suppose that was the point. Sorry to wreck it for anyone who thought it was just a catch tune.
