Regarding the suggestion, in the video, to use this same method with Artex - most older Artex contains asbestos and should only be removed by trained individuals, wearing appropriate protective clothing and then it must, by law, be disposed of in accordance with strict Health and Safety Executive regulations.

@@paullancaster7066 I ended up using a spray bottle filled with hot tap water and it work like a dream .the cloth was doing the job but the spray bottle was just simple.I just sprayed an area until soaked leave for 5 to 10 mins.and it's just comes off with no effort using the scraper .
@paullancaster70662 жыл бұрын
@@silvergirl2847 Thats another good tip, cheers! I did have a go, we only had about 50cm x 50cm area and the 'soak it with hot water by using a rag' method worked well! I do have a stripper that I can get my hands on ( 😉) for a more time-consuming kitchen wall later this month.

What type of steamer is this, if I may ask? I’d like to take on a project in my bathroom & this looks quite helpful?
@williameddy16623 жыл бұрын
BLACKSENSUALITY--- It is called a wallpaper steamer . If you live in North America , you can rent them from Home Depot . In other locales , I would try a tool rental place . Essentially , it consists of a water " tank" that heats up and creates steam , which then goes through a hose to the spreader . I have used them to remove wallpaper , but , also to remove the residue on the floor after you pull up linoleum . They are handy , but , be careful , and don`t burn yourself .

Dont use hole punch on steel .. it is better to use wood insted.... Thnkx anyway
@reevco624 жыл бұрын
It's not a hole punch but an old socket doing it on wood could rip the gasket and leave a ragged hole using a socket on an anvil or the likes of will give a nice clean sharp hole.

On a 57 plate Transit I found after watching this that the customers van was nothing like this at all. Behind wheel were massive posit head screws. Three. Then finally after heating them and tapping with half pound hammer to use the vibrations, they came out. So pulling back on the plate what happened. A huge half shaft came out. Yep and no chance to remove the outer disc in front of the wheel disc. To do that you had to undo another huge nut. 62 millimetre to be precise as my vernier gauge said. Gave up. Did not have that socket and with it being special order at £40 Just changed the pads.

Good vid m8 but you don't need that sealey tool which prob cost a fortune,remove the brake discs bolts and get 120mm long bolts the same thread as the disc bolts that you have removed you get them cheap online,insert them into disc and start tightening them against the knuckle,hub and bearing come out quickly with no probs.
