Great cover right here, your synths make this song much better

thanks! and honestly this is pretty faithful to the original arcade version. If you're thinking of the NES version, that song is mostly BLOOPBLOOPBLOOP lol for some reason I've always really liked this game and I like to do oddball covers even if they don't get a lot of views or comments. But I appreciate yours!!

The 80s synth sound of this cover is otherworldly. It's great to see another VGM musician and even more so with the unique sounds you produce. This cover was so good and you gave this theme justice

Thanks so much for the encouraging comment. This really made my day. Sometimes I feel like I'm going overboard or I need to stay closer to the original, so seeing people like me doing "my own thing" with some of these covers is a great feeling. Also, it means a lot coming from somebody as talented as yourself. Thanks again!
@Consolous16 күн бұрын
@@MTVGMSynthCovers Glad to hear that, good work deserves the appreciation. When it comes to covers, I like to balance out being true to the original, while also making it my own with my own touch. I always say, if people want something to sound like the original, they should just listen to the original. Keep doing your thing man
@MTVGMSynthCovers16 күн бұрын
@@Consolous again, thanks so much for the encouragement! And I totally agree about trying to balance the original with doing "your own thing." Sometimes I really want to recreate a lead, or the drums, or a feeling that I really like, and that's cool, but when I've just tried to recreate the song as accurately as I can, I listen and then I realize what's the point since the original is already there and it's already such a great piece of work. It's hard to be confident with choices about covers, though!

hey thanks, Belmont Man! I have like 6-7 drones going at once (it's all just C!) and it's really fun to just listen to them individually. Absolutely rocks! Are these synths plugins you bought or are they stock plugins from your DAW? Love this!! :D
@MTVGMSynthCovers2 ай бұрын
wow thanks! that means a lot coming from a real guitar player!!! The plugins are all free, with the guitar being Shreddage "Stratus" 3 Free and the bass is this oddball one I found called "Samsara Cycle Audio OM2." The synth parts are from the Arturia Microfreak which is a hardware synth that I love and use all the time and the drums are 2 different plugins, a free one (grooove bpb "Bruns and pork?" strange name!) and one I paid $9.99 for, "Beatskillz Synthwave Drums." for the software I sequence it all manually in Renoise Tracker (free) and the hardware stuff I just play and record manually. I record and mix everything on Waveform Free. So I don't actually use a DAW like a lot of people do, unless you count Renoise as a DAW but I record all those tracks separately and mix them in Waveform. Again, thanks for the comment and interest!! Means a lot to me.
