Arcueid is a vampire (a true ancestor). Melty Blood is based on a visual novel game called Tsukihime (which translates to MOON PRINCESS. Tsuki=moon, Hime=princess). The boy, Shiki, has a super power/curse, which is why he wears special glasses, to keep him from seeing his death vison or whatever. Basically, it's a story of vampires vs church-sponsored vampire hunters (ciel & Noel)
