Karma is a lot more intricate than Swami is demonstrating it to be. There are multiple layers upon layers. One must first thoroughly understand that since one is a slave to universal laws the the illusion of time and free-will are it's effects. It's all part of the "divine" play. The ultimate question then is "who is the creator" and why did He/She/It create this chaotic world of law and experience??? People need to learn to question everything rather than being quick to believe someone because they are wearing robes or "fit the part" of a teacher. Question everything!

Did anyone from the Temple hold a gun to her head? Then she made a CHOICE. Maybe not a good choice, but it was her choice. If God is trying to give to us he must obviously have a desire for us to accept. Therefor God has at least one desire for us. If God created us then he has a desire for us to live(that's two) If God wanted us to live then he obviously wouldn't want us to kill another of His creations that he also has desires for... and on and on. This "God has no desires for you" theology seems very self serving and full of holes. And aren't you just a intermediary just like any priest, rabi, or otherwise?

In the Upanishads, atman, the individual soul, is identical to Brahman, the Universal Spirit. Let me say that again: atman is not part of Brahman, atman IS Brahman. This seems not merely paradoxical but self-contradictory. Yet it is so. Atman and Brahman are ONE. Atman and Brahman are the same ONE BEING, ONE CONSCIOUSNESS. In Buddhism, we have Anatta - 'no soul' (only BEING).
